I made one of these. A non T version though. & paired it with a RX 6400 LP. 🤔With I believe... a 130w adapter. Works fine with the OEM top on. I stuck 2 small 40mm fans (usb) side by side to the front to blow a little air (airflow) into the case where the CPU is. The GPU side of the OEM top actually has a vented square above the GPU fan. Though I've still been thinking of switching to a better fully vented 3D printed top.

Hmmm. This gives me an idea. Topton N17 motherboard itx with built in 7840HS with desktop ddr5 5600 and a PCI 4 x8 slot. Add that to an open bench stand with a screen.I can use it when mobile or at home, with or without a GPU.
Is there any possibility of doing a larger card and just keeping it as an open bench? If only the PCI slot could be extended out enough to clear the heatsink...
Really wish there was a solution like this for the Dell Optiplex mini PCs. I have an Optiplex 7080 mini PC that would love to get a small GPU hooked up to so I can use it as an emulation station.
Link to that screen on Amazon?
very nicely put PC i love that display
I wonder how this performs with Ollama and a 7B LLM model...
Super cool, but I do worry about those open fans. Cheese graters, lol
I use one of these as my router with a 4 port 2.5g nic in it. Love these little things.
"I wanted something with a bit more power, and really to get up there, we've got to go with a low-profile dual slot..."
Someone hasn't seen the 4000 ADA SFF single slot mod ;-)
the 4060m is even crazier
Oh you're talking about that $1,300-1,500 RTX ADA card. Yeahh.. nope 😄
Nice video thanks for Windows keys
Great video as always! Have you seen the new Walmart Onn Pro tablets released a few days ago? From the spec sheets, both the 11" and the 12.1" sound like great budget devices, with the 12.1" Tablet Pro having 6GB RAM, quad speakers, stock Android 14, a 90Hz 1440p+ panel... Seems like it would be right up your alley
I wish I remembered what TH-camr I watched the other night. He designed and made a 3d printed case solution with a replacement front bezel for his SFF build.
optimum
ITG Gear, he mentions them in the first minute of the video.
I have a question, can i use Bazzite with this build or it would be better if i go with a AMD Radeon GPU instead since AMD has great support for linux?
why didn't go with 10th or 11th gen Intel CPUs? My m920q came with a lame i5-8500t I'm looking to AT LEAST put an i9-9900 in it. Can't figure out if I can put like an i9-10900 or not
throttle stop 🤯 could you do an review on some of the software tools you use for testing and optimizing systems
many thanks and you always get a like on all your videos from me 🥰
This looks like a fun little project.
Since it has a spare m.2 slot you can use the oculink adaptor and use external graphics card that way
Hello EtA Prime , could you please tell me would the Lenovo M910Q with the DVD drive ontop also take the same gpu mod?
There's a new thing about bios modification on Msi claw ultra.
That slows the cpu but boosts the igpu of the device. Perhaps you can make a video about it?
can you put regular pc cooler with that mother board tho?? i mean small form cooling from Idcooling would looks great with the setup

Will there be a bad bottleneck if we use the i5 version of m920q and 3050lp?
In India especially in the south a youtuber is in trouble for promoting a site selling windows OEM keys. Many other creators point out the problems! Is there any problem using OEM cd keys?
Should we need to limiting voltage/core clock on this build?
can this be done with an optiplex micro?
@@dnavarro0212 gee i hope so. Something out of the Dell used system Warehouse. Ive got a $600bdell credit that should be enough to buy 3 of these older micro 1 liter units and could learn proxmox clustering by adding a 10gb nic in the pcie slot
Just a fyi doesn't work with the m720q. I tried everything and the board can't take that much power. 😢
Yes it does work with the m720q. I'm using it with mine. You need to install throttlestop as per the video. Running a lp Quadro t1000 in my set up.
@@ll_spud I have an Lenovo Thincentre M920x with an Core i7 8700T and a AMD RX6400 since one year, now i tryed to upgrade with this Yeston RTX3500 but everytime when i start a Benchmark with a stress test or a game like Metro Exodus the PC shut down after one Minute, i tryed also a Lenovo 300W Power Device with no effect. The TPD from this card too high. So with Throttlestop it will works? But then the RTX3050 ist not much faster then my RX6400 i think.
@markusi.1927 Yes throttlestop works.
does the m910q has the pci slot as well? I've been trying to look around but i havent been able to find anything on the matter
Question, What happens to the builds you make? do you sell it? or do you make a huge collection of it?
ITG gears channel goes into detail on configuring the system after the upgrades.
Will that RAM config work? I alwags got taught to keep it all the same size and speed or you might face instability isssues
You should redo this with the Yeston 3050, that looks like the original top will fit with the Yeston
Nice one how have you made the mini screen stuck on the desktop ?
If you want to do this with the HP elitedesk 705, is there something similar? (Expansion Riser Card I mean )
What screen and program are you using to show system info? And where to get it?
Just got my box and it came with 135w power supply not the 65w. Trying to figure out if that is enough instead of the 230w mentioned. Box on 3050 says it needs 300w. Thanks for help.
You might see a bit of uplift and less CPU limited scenarios if you swap the CPU for a regular, non K i7 8700.
what cpu do you recommend ?
For this machine? i7 8700 non K
@@PraetorBeast oh ok thank you dude
Anytime bud
@@PraetorBeasthi bro, i just received an m920q i7 8700t and an rtx 3050 lp (I'm waiting to receive the riser) but I would like a more powerful cpu. and I understand that only the T version will be compatible, therefore no K or KF version. Can you confirm all of this for me please?
I was thinking of installing an i5 9600kf or an i7 9700k....
would the Core i5-9400T perform the same?
Hey man, it would be great if you build a small form factor pc with the new minisforum board BD790i SE it's a Ryzen 9 7940HX, I have one that i want to put in a small form factor build using a graphite fractal terra case, I'm not sure which GPU to go with but I really love 4K GAMING, I have a nice 4k monitor, so if there's any advise for me in terms of gpu it would be great and thank you.
Ps: have sfx psu 850 cooler master, 64gb ddr5 5600mhz, and a 2tb samsung 990pro and a 4tb samsung 990 pro.
10:51 You always gonna blow up these poor bastards, dont you 😂😂😂
Can we add any gpu we want ? Like it would be life changing if it does that
is there anyway to improve i5 9500T with GTX 1050ti bottleneck in PUBG?
Amazing ! Would the same build using the i5 version of the M920Q gives similar results ?
I have an Lenovo Thincentre M920x with an Core i7 8700T and a AMD RX6400 since one year, now i tryed to upgrade with this Yeston RTX3500 but everytime when i start a Benchmark with a stress test or a game like Metro Exodus the PC shut down after one Minute, i tryed also a Lenovo 300W Power Device with no effect. I wouldn't mind having a small screen like that velcrowed onto my mini pc.🤔
I had to disable BD Prochot on a mini Dell with an i7 6700t that was throttling and not boosting. That fixed its issue.
cheap windows keys? no thanks i open the window and throw the keys outside and close the windows and then i hugging a cute penguin 😂
Man if the lower profile cards had more vRAM I would build a local LLM machine with this.
A Rtx 4060 work in it? The low profile Rtx?
How wide the gpu can bigger one I have a 1 fan small 1660 super any help please
Hey ETA, great setup you got there 🙂
Any chance you could provide the link to your video about the stat screen? Thanks a lot in advance 👍
