Hey, I appreciate all your videos. They have helped me tremendously and saved me a lot of money, by allowing me do this stuff myself. I hope you got free batteries for what you do. You deserve them. I love to see people succeed. People who degrade people on TH-cam for being successful are just jealous. It takes a lot of work to be successful on here. I am a small business owner. Keep up the good work.

Sweet! Just discovered the Lion battery and wished I had got your coupon code for discount. I tried dropping them in and I made the mistake you warned against in your video (at 5:12). My wrench, while connecting one post touched and stuck to the other already connected post and a spray of spark shot out of the already connected post. After I finished installation and turned the battery connection to the trailer on I got no power! I'm afraid I royally messed something up. The Lion battery indicates it's still at 100% and no fuses were damaged and no breakers were tripped (because I disconnected the battery from the trailer--I have a micro minnie like yours!). Any ideas as to what to do now to fix my mistake? I am a complete beginner here.

Hey Neal, glad you are OK after the spark, I bet it was quite surprising! Does the battery still say full voltage when you test it up with a multimeter? The batteries have an internal fuse and it may have tripped. Try pressing and holding the button on the top to see if it resets. Glad you had a battery cut off switch to protect your trailer.
Another thing that comes to mind is there is a circuit breaker under the body of your trailer in an electrical box that could have tripped. Look for a square box about 5"x5" that will be metal under your trailer towards the tongue. It may be near the driver's side front stabilizer jack on the inside of the frame. It will have the battery cable going in and out which then goes to your shut off switch in your pass-thru storage. This box will contain a small 12v DC circuit breaker with a small button to press on the side. It may have a red cap on it to indicate voltage. Try and press the button to see if it will reset. Try and locate it with your battery disconnected so there is not another shock, but it may not engage if there is no 12v power so you may have to plug the battery back in.
Here is a link for some photos. I hope this works out for you, please update us if this helps!

Would love to do the upgrade, my deep cycle lead acid is at the end of its life, its just hard to justify the price for me. I don't boondock and don't camp enough in general to justify paying 6 times as much.

How did you make sure they were both charged 100% before installing them together?

When I put them on after winter I will charge each separately to guarantee they are both balanced.
