I have done my IELTS, I have been applying for the HCA roles but been unsuccessful. Although I have a certificate in nursing aide. I wouldn't mind coming to UK to study nursing while working. Happy to learn from you Ladies.

      hi Linda,
thanks for subscribing. where have you been applying to?
if you have both cbt and ielts it should be easy to find jobs or is it a specific specialty you are looking to apply?
Do you have a strong cv, personal statement or cover letter? if you sorted these out it should be a bit straight forward getting interviews

Since I have not specialized, I keep applying for any band 5 nursing job I see, or any OSCE program recruitment I see, I don't know if I am missing something here.

Hi Fray, my wife is a registered nurse in Nigeria, she came with me to the UK as my dependent, she's eager to continue in her career path and care for people. And we understand that she needs to take both IELTS and the CBT, please could you be kind to help us with study material or Q&A for her to prepare for the CBT with? She's almost concluding her IELTS preparation to take the test ok 7th May.

Hi Fray, what if you're already in the country as a nurse assistant but want to get licensed as a nurse? Is it a prerequisite to have a license in the country of education before one can apply for a license as an RN in the UK? This is the route I'm planning and although I don't have a license from my original country, I do have all the requirements to take the exam in my country if I wanted to but has chosen to go abroad as soon as I graduated. I was hoping I wouldn't need to go back to my country just to take the licensing exam if I'm already in the UK.

I am desirous to come as a health care assistant but I have more experience in research, volunteer and project management plus some voluntary work in the UK some years ago i cared for children and adults with learning disabilities and a nursing home. Currently, am volunteering in pre-school for experience. My challenge is the cv i have so far submitted 1 and i wasn't successful. But I won't give up.
