- I took around three to four days to make this, aaaa. Okay, this is my first ever Animatic, so please do forgive me for it's countless flaws It may also be a bit loud !
This wonderful cover I used belongs to Annapantsu, my favourite TH-cam singer so far. I honestly feel mesmerized whenever I hear her, and it inspired me to do this.

wow... this is amazing. the other animatics ive seen based off annas cover seem to portray it as a secret gay desire, but your truly and amazingly captures the true, yet terrifying, meaning of this song. and that is pure lust and creepy desire coming from Frolo. not forbidden gay love but intense and straight up obsessiveness and i love it. keep up the good work
Quinn I feel like some people forget that part of the song....it’s an obsessive song full of lust not love and a lot of people think it’s cute which is disconcerting

YES, gay love is the same as the hetero and any other normal one, but the meaning of this song is dark, the author did a great job.

Jackie Loretto Damn right she is, her voice is strong and clear when she sings. It's what i love to listen too.XD
1:06 is what I particularly love about annapantsu's version of this song. When she sings "why", her voice shakes, as if she's scared. That fear is part of what makes the song; Frollo has prided himself/herself on their "purity", and they've never felt this strongly before. This is more heightened here, as homosexuality was considered a sin. Claudia would be more in fear of these same-sex desires. The fact that Esmeralda is Romani is another factor, since Frollo hates the Gypsies and wants to commit genocide against them (come on, who doesn't get Amon Goeth vibes here? If you've seen Schindler's List, you'd understand what I mean).
Believe me, I agree with the other commentators; this isn't about forbidden love, as much as it makes Frollo more fascinating. The song is about lust and obsession, and about Frollo retaining her sense of purity by destroying the object of desire if she can't have her. You conveyed this perfectly in the animation.

Wow. The gender swap really changes the meaning. A holy woman discovers her love for a gypsy girl, but gets stuck in a Battle against her self and society. She loves Esmeralda but homosexuality is “a sin” and society of the time would strip her of her status *and possibly even execute* her if she loved another woman, especially a gypsy like Esmeralda. Unlike claude frollo, you can feel some sympathy for this woman(who’s Name I am guessing is Claudia Frolllo) and you may even find some justification in her actions, if she was driven insane by the fact that she could not be with the woman whom she loved. As a lesbian, with a religious mother this *really* hits home for me.
The statue of Mary looks so done with everything Frollo is saying honestly.

I’m actually super happy about how much effort you put into this animatic! The facial structures and emotions are so highlighted and while not much is happening in the back, all the focus empathizes on frollo (your oc) and it’s amazing! I throughouly enjoyed your art and very amazed that this is your first! Hope to see more art soon and your art coming to life! ❤️
This is really really good. I've been searching up Hellfire Animatics for the majority of the past hour and this one's expressions are ON POINT! You don't convey emotion with color but just the RAW EMOTION in the such detailed EXPRESSIONS and CHARACTER POSES! I'm awestruck!

Generally, it was very good. I think you could have held on some imagery a little longer, like her shadow going up on the wall to reveal the devil. I don't think a close-up was necessary after that imagery but holding a longer on that as she falls to the ground or something of the like. I also think, if you had added a little more... Ambiance with the Mary statue and your furlough character, something more like desperate dependents rather than psychotic Glee it worked it would have worked a little better. But critiquing aside, your artwork is really good and your facial expressions do portray a lot of emotion and mental state. Your feet are also really well . Feet are so hard for me to draw

I'm getting into animation my self and I plan on doing something like this for my oc's in the future
I know you said this was your first animatiac-er what ever, but I'm going to give a little advice
I think the only thing missing was dramatic/exaggerated body movement. Like there were parts that felt a little stiff on dramatic parts of the song, that could have used a more of dramatic poses. But like you said its your first, I'm just passing a little knowoledge from my animations course.
It looks great over all and I think you will only improve.

The art is beautiful, and Fem-Frollo looks great, but this animatic lacks the imaginative visuals of both the OG Disney song and other animatics for the Annapantsu cover that I've seen on TH-cam. Like the dancing fire and stuff. 90% of this animatic is just watching Frollo sing.
