Its amazing how the music from these games takes you right back to when you were enjoying playing them... Can't say the same about many of the games coming out these days. Not in a "get off my lawn" sort of way, but because they are more trying to adapt modern music as opposed to having something that fits them specifically.
Played this as a kid but it was always too hard for me. I bought this just before the wii u eshop closed down, and I finally got around to playing it today. Save states did help, so that I didn't have to burn through continues and restart to learm areas, but it's not all that hard as an adult. Really quite good. And of course, the music! Great for a 1993 cartridge game.
So I just spent hours trying to figure out the name of this game because of the music. I was maybe 5 or 6 years old, but I guess the epic music stuck with me... Hours of searching. That led me here. All that to see the top comment is from my brother. Awesome moment. 😂
3:45 legit one of my favorite songs of all time
Koni at its best!

Agreed with that, and Konami was one of the best companies doing that smoothly 😄
16-bit era soundtracks were just the best. Just marvel how much of an epic feeling is invoked in the listener by this very music alone. Truly amazing.
Heard "We've gotta do it" in an in-video ad and it set me off on a search for the music as I knew it was from a game from my childhood. And here I am.
👍
