I always love the stories that take place in a spot that you'd love to weather the apocalypse in, lighthouse, mall, bunker, island, treehouse, any kind of secluded or cozy place. Hyped up to finish this, listened to half then went to a wedding with the other half waiting to be finished.
If you keep this up you might just end up the person with the most zombie books in earth, at least in English. Glad I've been listening almost the whole time. And to think I thought this was just a channel putting up bootleg audiobooks at first like all the others..
Just before I started writing book 5 I told myself that I was going to write the biggest zombie book series ever. I think I'm somewhere in the 2.5 million word range at this point (for reference, the entire Harry Potter series is 1.1 million). So I'm going to go ahead and claim the title and let someone else prove me wrong, haha.
I truly deeply love the Dead America series. I sincerely hope the ride goes on for at least a good while longer. Isnt it funny how when one likes something so much, its all they can do to not think the fact that someday..it will end. Haha. I could read these stories through out the rest of my life. Probably even asking someone to read them to me when i reach my death bed. Lol kinda morbid but meant with love.
I really appreciate it! I just made the jump to full time writing this year, so you're going to have plenty of zombies for quite a while! maybe a few other stories as well!
@@DerekSlatonHorrorAuthor That is wonderful news and I am beyond stoked! I've been meaning to get to your other stories as well. I'm sure I will soon enough haha. You are a wonderful writer derek!!
Thank you! glad you enjoyed it! wanted to do something a little bit different, see what people thought. I have a few more ideas similar in tone I might explore down the road.
It seems like a lighthouse would be the perfect fortress to ride out the apocalypse. But the story does not make it clear how the owner manages to keep others from landing on the island? Just cutting off the boat dock would not keep desperate people from landing on the island, so how did he keep others from moving in and taking over.
This particular island has a rocky area around the perimeter, and the boat dock is the only safe way up. Plus him giving the boaters fresh waster keeps them somewhat content because if they try to get to the island and fail, they won't have drinking water.
Thank you once more for making my work day a little more tolerable.
Just doing my part! Working on another story just as this one goes live! Hope you enjoy!

David all of a sudden wants to have a heart, Oscar would have had to fend for himself.
Very good
Is there a Playlist that has these in order?
Yes! If you go to the channel page and click playlists, it has all the various sub-series in playlists. Including the Main series as well!
