She really did used to say aloha when she meets ppl for the first time. She didn't remember that and made Theo doubt it as well. Lol. Too funny. Insurgent Unscripted was too cute.

I think Theo James is perfect for the role. Does it matter he is too old? No, he is a perfect fit for Four. Age doesn't change that. And Shailene is perfect too. People are upset she is pretty, and too tall. But, who cares? You can't get a perfect description of the characters in real life. She has young, and fresh face and I think they will both do an incredible job for this film

Alyssa Zentos Theo is perfect in the movie. I'm not a huge fan of him as a person\actor, but I love his Four.
Omg I couldn't have said it better my self, I personally loved the movie so much and I absolutely adore four and tris I think they played their characters amazingly
I think Theo is perfect for the character, but I for me Shailene being tall changes the story. I mean, she was very short and thin, so people acted like she was a kid, too little for fighting or anything. And Christina is supposed to be taller than Tris, and act like an older sister. I think it's just too different from the book.

I'm glad Shailene is Tris because even when I was reading the book, I couldn't picture her as a blonde blue eyed girl, to me she needed more of an edge. Yea Shai is tall, and pretty but its Hollywood. What else would you expect?
In the book Tris explains herself as blonde and blue eyed, so Shai is perfect.
But that's the thing. Tris is suppose to look innocent and out of place. Being blonde and blue eyes does that to a girl. BUT there couldn't of been a more perfect person to play tris than shailene ❤️
I think that she was perfect for Tris.
Since I watched the movie before I read the book and then I read the book everytime they had a moment I could picture theo and shai not the way veronica had described tris and four in the book

I have to be honest here. When I heard Theo James got the rol of 'Tobias'. I was devastated, he was nothing like I imagined but hearing him talk is a game changer, so manly so Tobias.

I hate how people keep complaining about how Theo and Shailene don't look the way they imagined them to be. Of course they won't look exactly like you thought they would. Victoria Roth gave a description of the characters, but despite that, everyone imagines the characters a bit differently; that's the beauty of books. Also, I would totally prefer superb acting over meeting "the exact look" any day.

If you want to complain, pick on his age. He's 10 years too old. But I really think you shouldn't. It's REALLY hard to find actors that fit a character description, can actually act, and, within that, can act a particular character convincingly. Theo James is not only spookily fitting for the character physically (age and eye colour notwithstanding) but he's also a good actor, and, as far as I've seen, can work Four decently. He's actually one of those rare near-perfect casting decisions.

Everyone saying Max Irons should have been Four because of this age thing, I looked it up and they're the same age.... so I don't really get this. I don't particularly like Max Irons either, no offense.
Yeah they are both 28, and although I really love the fact that Theo is Tobias now, I understand where other people are coming from because I used to want Max as Tobias too. And I didn't really like the idea of Theo. That was simply because Theo looks much older than Max does. I think that's what everyone else means too. They are the same age, but they don't necessarily look the same age. With that being said, I absolutely LOVE Max, but I'm also very thrilled to see Theo as Tobias :)

Well yeah.. the movie is never the same as the book. It's always best to read the book before (or after) you watch the movie because the book always has those details and Tris' thoughts that the movie can't show. Its kinda like with the hunger games I read the book after and omgosh it seemed so much different than the movie and I understood a lot more after reading the book.

Honestly I don't get where the hate is coming from the casting is perfect! Shai is tall, so what? She has a petite face and I believe she can embody Tris, and don't even get me started on Theo. The guy is out of this world lol
It's hard to find an actor who looks exactly like it's described in the book. I think Shailene is a great actress and good for the part so you should stop caring about small details
I know twilight fans were not happy when Robert Pattinson was cast as Edward or Ledger as the joker. They turned out great. Maybe people should wait on judging the Divergent cast.

The actors are growing on me but I wish that Shailene Woodley was smaller, shorter and blonde like how Tris is suppose to be. But I'm extremely happy with their choice for Four! Omg Theo is exactly how I imagined Four while I was reading the books. He's so manly :)
I agree, but in Insurgent, Tris talks about how when his hair grows out a bit longer, she can tell it's brown, not black.
I do agree with you slightly, but I think it would be hard to find a short actress that looks looks like Tris and has her personality and features. I agree, Shailene is not what I expected, but I am satisfied with her. I haven't researched if an actress would be a better fit for Tris, so don't yell at me and say"So and so would be SO much better!" :3 Four..... He's ok, I don't have a problem with him either.
Honestly? In Hunger Games, the actor for Peeta was actually shorter than Katniss (JL); however, in the grand scheme of things, that ended up not mattering. I think if the actors (all of whom are talented) can pull off the characters, physical is going to be no issue at all.
I think the most important factor is that she's able to bring the character to life. Looking the part won't cut it. Take JLaw, she looks nothing like how Katniss is described in the books.

No but it's been hinted at over and over. They even think he's scary: "Where's your scary boyfriend?" We don't see him that way because we see him through Tris' eyes and she's closest to him and knows how he really is

How dare you say this. You are judging her because of the Secret Life? There is a difference between an actor and bad script writing. Secret life was poorly written. Don't say HATE either. What would happen when someone hated you? Hate is a strong word. Have you seen The Descendants? That is what I call great acting. She was nominated for a Golden Globe for that movie and worked with George Clooney. Ur calling her a bad actress? SHE NAILED the auditions. They chose her because she did amazing.
