This is a fantastic study. I would never argue against anybody claiming that this piece is incredible and moving. After twelve long years of phobic reactions to Le Sacre, it's only now after forcing myself to understand the piece better that I'm overcoming my fear of the melody. :) Which is a very good thing!

It's not just the music. Stravinsky is probably one of the greatest composers ever in terms of orchestration. His use of instruments outside their normal range is just amazing.
I thought he was going to make some fleeting analogy from sounds of the skate park to the stomps and bustling dissonance of Stravinsky... Perhaps he was trying to imply something along that vain but never really followed through!?? idk...

It has been confirmed by Stravinsky that Saint-Saëns was not in fact at the first performance

No mention of Stravinsky being an artist pupil of Rimsky -Korsakov or Rimsky’s son being a student friend of Stravinsky who introduced the two.
