The IRS has just released the "get my payments" portal for everyone. Also, updates to the Paycheck Protection Program, EIDL (Emergency Injury Disaster Loan), Mortgage Forbearance, and unemployment.
80 million received their stimulus checks as of April 15, 2020. If you have not yet received your deposit, use this portal to find out whether your check was mailed or scheduled for direct deposit and when you should expect your stimulus check. You can also add direct deposit information if you filed your 2019 taxes and did not include it, however won't be able to change your direct deposit information on your 2019 taxes. If you filed your 2018 taxes, the best way to update your information is to file your 2019 taxes. The portal will let you know what most-current information the IRS has and all you apparently need is your address, name, and social security number.

The US makes things way too complicated. Canada has one portal, sign in through your bank, and direct deposit into your bank account within 3 days. Also, everyone gets $2000 per month if you lost your job, versus $1200. Maybe the IRS should take notes.

Bryant Wilson it took about 2 weeks, maybe a little less - though I live in the state of Montana which I believe is the least populated state per capita in the lower 48 with only ~ 1 million people. No way to get through by phone as it’s constantly busy even here, but luckily our online system has held up so far. I know friends in other states have been having much more difficulties getting payments.
Many people (including myself), are getting a page that says they can't determine their eligibility after entering their information. It may be a glitch in the system but if you get this message, you're not alone.

Just keep trying its because the site is probably still being slammed same thing happened to me but I kept trying and I was able to push through and surprised that it said I needed to input my bank information because in 2018 I got money back but in 2019 I owed so ots possibly that if you owed money for 2019 even though you got money in 2018 you might have to input bank info

I believe I filed around the same time. Maybe a day or 2 later. You can check you your status. Download the irs app. It will tell what day to expect your return. And to check with your bank if you have not by a certain day.
Got my stimulus money around 5AM today. Will do my BEST not to touch it unless necessary or immediate emergency..... Hope you guys get your money if you really need it.....
I received my $1200 but my 4 dependent children didn't get their $500 each. I claim them every year and they are all under the age of 16. This is very confusing!

*ALERT* I was told, on the IRS website portal, do not click "I owed" (After trying to submit it will read, info doesn't match IRS) unless you owe the IRS. Click "I received my tax return" then input bank info.

Jay R if you have a joint account that probably best. Idk I put my own account even though we filed jointly. They IRS sent our tax refund earlier to that same account. So to be on the safe side if you have it do it👍🏾

Interesting experience. I filed my 2019 tax return before the extension. I decided to have the feds withdrawal their payment from my account today april 15th. I check the irs site link for the eip they don't have my information and need my bank account...Uh nothing changed since 2018 but the irs needed my direct deposit information. smh. Oh and of course no information about when I would get my check.

I am so sad. I didn't get my stimulus check. Apparently my bank told me that IRS sent my money to a closed account I have with them. So the bank has sent the money back to IRS. IRS website is not helpful. No number to call. I don't understand why they never sent it to my account where I have been receiving my tax return refund for the past 7yrs
Called Fannie May and they are not currently giving a option to add the payment on to the end. Only option given is loan modification , extended forbearance, pay lump sum they told exact words “fake news” on adding payment to end of loan. So many people are going to get screwed. They did say that as the weeks and months continue they may have a alternative to paying back forbearance but currently those are the only options.
SMH. I didn't make enough to have to file in 18' or 19' so i used the turbotax free tool to give my bank info and it went through. It said thank you the irs will check eligibility before depositing stimulus check. That was on like the 8th or so. I checked the get my payment and they dont even have me on file so they haven't got to people in my boat yet i believe.

When do you get the check for your dependent claim on 2018 and 2019 , file as head of household
Wells Fargo offering 3-months straight up deferment. Paid at end of loan, no additional interest. Just taking the present value of 3-months of payments and putting it at the end of the mortgage. It may depend on type of loan you have (captive vs. Fannie/Freddie) and state (CA and NY more protection for mortgages).

Indeed! The only thing(s) that should prevent someone from getting it is you've been claimed as dependent, you earn too much money or you have an outstanding child support claim! If none of those three things apply, it should be approved!

If you are a student, and living with your parents, even though you file a tax return, your still a dependent. She can definitely claim you. However, if you live on your own and she isn't supporting you, theres an issue. You didn't give much info.

We had our 2019 filed on Monday and just received our deposit today. They did go off of our 2018 filing as I did not claim my son that year. Not sure when they ran the information before deciding on amounts. Can rule out it was before Monday for those who are getting deposits first. Just in case anybody else is in the same boat with split custody and split year claiming of kids.

@@keithparker9727 No, I received my stimulus money today, not my tax return money. I am stating that they must have pulled my information from my 2018 tax return before receiving my 2019. Perhaps that is because the 2019 was not processed yet and they have to go off of processed returns only. Not really sure. Sorry for the confusion.
I was actually able to update my information inside the portal ! I would just recommend trying .

I had Citibank as my account for my 2019 taxes, and once I loved to the irs get my payment it showed me that they hadn’t verified it and I had to enter a my adjusted gross income and owed amount. After that I simply had to enter my routing and account number.

If you did not set up a direct deposit then after the SS page, the next page will be where you enter in your gross income/paid or owe info as well as your banking information. Kevin did not have to because his direct deposit was already set up so it just goes to the status page. I did mine and had to enter the information.

The portal is just a stupid button that isn't linked to any data base or they are simply on processing limbo cause it isn't providing any helpful information and it doesn't neither allow to update any bank account information yet.🤔🤨😖

It most definitely is not working, myself, my wife, and two buddies as of this morning are all getting the same error, essentially saying “the records we have on file can not confirm your eligibility” I tried the first time at 5 am this morning prior to the evident system overload. Pretty fucking annoying considering this is looming on the worst economic crisis we’ve seen in 80 years. Anyone else been having this issue?
I logged on this morning because I didn't receive my stimulus but it also said I didn't have any direct deposit info set up I was able to update I still don't know when I'll get it but at least they now have my direct deposit info

@@unique96099 The payments are worth up to $1,200 per person or $2,400 per married couple, with an additional $500 going to parents for each child they claim as a dependent who is 16 or younger.This age limit to get the dependent stimulus check is much younger than what is used by the IRS in the qualifying child test where a child must be younger than 19 years old or be a “student” younger than 24 years old as of the end of the calendar year. Hence the confusion being caused for many trying to claim this stimulus payment. So just remember if your child or eligible dependent is 17 or over you cannot claim the stimulus dependent payment for them.

For the people who says they received message stating it can't verify your info...you have to put the info in the correct format. Example: address cannot be any periods or decimal marks. YOU HAVE TO CLICK ON THE QUESTION MARKS BESIDE EACH ENTRY AND IT WILL SHOW YOU THE CORRECT FORMAT....and no I'm not yelling, I just wanted it be a big warning/alert message.

I received my stimulus check this morning, got the notification from the bank.
Just went to check and for some reason, they said they didn't have my direct deposit info. Had to add it manually even though I added it when I filed. I sent an email to my tax filing software to ask why the IRS doesn't have the info.
Hi Eric, I checked and had the same thing happen. It is stating they didn’t have our bank account information which is incorrect. Just curious, did you happen to file your 2019 taxes but postpone payment you owe to IRS?

I didn't receive my payment I filed my 2018 and 2019 tax return from h&r block I do have an emerald but they also have my key bank account information I have not received any money from them I believe h&r block is not given out enough information to the IRS

I filed my 1099 2019 taxes beginning of February and I did use direct deposit. The IRS took my “owed” money off the direct deposit I provided on March 16. Tried to check the portal and it said I was providing wrong information but then I was putting info straight from my 1040.
It was also saying my 2019 was still being processed.. the portal definitely needs to be worked on

@@fenders9911 if you got money onto a card I would imagine it would go on there, if you owed $ for them doing your taxes they should take that out of the taxes, if you owe twards your taxes you should still get a stim check and you may have to pay back next year, but that's only if you owe the IRS.
Usually the tax places either take what you owe from you when you do the taxes (that is the service charge some places have), or when you receive the regular tax money. Hopefully that helped?
