One foot in front of the other, footstep by footstep and stride by stride, training for races had become this repetitive pattern; always over the same path, completing the same runs.
So I broke free.
I left behind this familiar routine for a running adventure across 25 European countries. This is the story of running without racing or any training plan, of running just for the fun of it, of running for the thrill to explore new trails, and of running for the pleasure. This is the story of running to DISCOVER.

Beautifully captured vid. And all for the same reason that I run trails, its the surrounding landscapes and awesome mountain scenery that motivates me to do more and to go further. And never without my camera to capture what I see, the Alps and the Scottish mountains being my favourites for extreme backdrops!

that sounds like quite a trip! I still have more or less the whole Scandic Mountain Range to explore abit more first though. :)

How did you film this great video? hand mount?
Amazing video! I'm currently studying abroad (Southern Spain) and wish to make weekend trips out of running amazing places. Where (websites, magazines, maps) do you find such trails and more specifically how to get to them? Anything would help.
It took 6 months to plan the trip. There is no database to do that. just a lot of time. i would recommand El chorro and ruta des borossa. it's close to you and the views are good. (check the individual video for those trails on my channel. will give you an idea)

There was no rest days, most days actually included two runs.
This trip took about 40 days and 7 months of planning
Beautifull , did you had a car ? Im thinking if you had a car how that can become an issue if you always have to come back on your steps. How was it for you ?
I did have a car but I was making loops. It is all about the planning of trails. It takes months.
If done properly, this isn't an issue.
This is just amazing! I'm a trailrunner. too and I would love to make an similar trip like you. Do you have gps-tracks from your trip? How many km and how many days do you spend in this countries?

Hi,
Planning took about 6 months. I started by looking for trails all over Europe and then try to plan everything accordingly.
It cost me around 3500eur for 2 persons for 37 days. But we had accommodations.
I did one by myself this summer. Living 27 days in a car all over Eastern Europe for 1500. It is not that expensive to do, if you don't care accommodations.
Planning is the most difficult part here.

I NEED to do something like this.... and I am in no need of special accommodations. I could camp every single night no problem. I just never know how to plan this stuff!
you need a lot of time and dedication to plan it. worst is to actually to start planning. just don't count the hours.
