What a beautiful hotel! This shows how modern doesn't have to be cheap crap. It's great to see the expansion of Mitsubishi in the US. They're definitely some of the nicest elevators.
This is the 1st most luxurious hotel in Tampa with the extremely fancy Mitsubishi elevators inside. I bet the Mitsubishi elevators inside this hotel are the BEST elevators in the entire state of Florida!!
Hey man glad you like the Elevators. I work in the IUEC Local 74 I was working for Mitsubishi during 75% of the install of these until i went back over to Kone. There are 6 passenger cars and 3 service cars that serve the hotel tower portion from floors 1-27 and then 2 that service 1-6 for meeting rooms and restaurants. They are all Diamond Traction Machine Roomless. The service cars do have buttons by the way. Love the videos keep up the great work👍
Neato! These are really special elevators and it’s automatically on my elevator checklist if I return to Tampa! I like how the buttons are blue. In fact, blue Mitsy buttons are super rare and I found one of them as well, thanks to Caleb! I thought you accidentally call cancelled 27 on your first ride, but I wonder if that actually works on a touchscreen. You should try that next time and do it on an unlocked floor. Usually on modern Mitsubishi’s, if you select a locked floor, they say, “Sorry, the fooor selected is a restricted floor.”
I do gotta admit... That touchscreen does kinda give it a bit of a futuristic vibe IMHO. Especially with the Euro-Asian style LCD exterior hall indicators in the lobby.
First Mitsubishi on the east coast I see. These specific type of Mitsubishi seems to be comparable to a Toyota in terms of reliability. Love how they use water theme on the door open/close buttons too. That's a first🔥🔥🔥
Best elevators in Florida so far! Interesting how there is a keypad like a destination dispatch, and also there are also two arrows on the first floor. Only Mitsubishis I ever rode were in Hong Kong, but I never filmed them and never will, as that was when we slept at my grandma's boss's apartment and the boss has since sold the apartment.
Mitsubishi's tend to have floor cancellation so you should have tried it!!! Traction151 would love these!!! Guest elevators are probably either Sigma AI 2200 or Diamond HS (succesor of GPM-III which was discontinued in 2018).
Guest elevators can't be DiamondTrac MRL as it goes maximum of 24 (the brochure specs says it) or 25 floors (on their website says 25 stops) but they are 26 floors so definitely DiamondHS (maximum 64 floors) or Sigma AI 2200. Lobby elevators probably are DiamondTrac MRL.
Sigma AI 2200 was discontinued in 2017 (according to Mitsubishi techs and union professionals) so they have to be DiamondHS or DiamondTrac MRL. Though according to a tech who commented above these are DiamondTrac MRL. They must be 500 feet per minute as that is the maximum an MRL can go. Sigma AI 2200 and DiamondHS can travel speeds of 350 to 1,400 feet per minute.
With how much Denver is growing and the amount of new hotels and condos being built there, I'm surprised Mitsubishi hasn't started installing elevators over there...
this is a request can you do a springhill suites by marriott in hagerstown maryland they have thyssenkrupp aura elevators there can you please go there please thank you
Nobody cares who found them first, what matters is we know about these! I've known about these for over a year now as the MyFloridaLicense site said this place would have Mitsy, so if you want to have this argument, technically I'm the one who knew about them first. You just filmed them first

You said it very well my friend! Totally agreed!

Wow! That hotel is absolutely amazing!
WOW! These are absolutely stunning!!

Are there any more Mitsubishi’s in FL?
It’s really cool to see Mitsy expanding to places other than California and Chicago.
Honolulu has Mitsy's too
This is so cool!!!! I wish this was more common. I love how they kept the chimes but still managed to keep them beautiful despite the ADA compliance

No other brand beats Mitsubishi! (try me)
great elevators!
new Mitsubishis are very rare in America
Pittsburgh REALLY needs Mitsubishi! All the exciting things are dry-powered Schindler 300As and vintage stuff.
Very Nice Mitsubishi Elevators!!!! Gorgeous Hotel To!

Very Nice Elevators and hotel. I wish there were some Mitsubishi elevators in Canada.
These things are amazing!
Washington DC and Maryland and Virginia needs Mitsubishi elevators. These are really cool elevators
Very nice! I do wonder if the service cars have actual buttons or not, I can’t imagine that they would have touch screens, but who knows.
They probably do have actual buttons, I just wasn't comfortable sneaking on them because of the person in the hallway watching me
They have actual buttons! I have a video of the service elevators on my channel, and I'm hoping to get a retake soon!
they are nice CAelevators
these could have easily been made glass
I think we can easily confirm these are some of the first Mitsubishi elevators on the east coast of the US!
Holy this hotel is awesome. Especially the elevators. I remember a long time ago I stayed at that Westin nearby with ThyssenKrupp elevators.
I know which Westin you're talking about. Those used to be Montgomery many years ago
@@FloridianElevators yeah I know. I remember I saw a very big shark from my hotel room.
Now these are epic! I gotta check these out if I come to Tampa.
Alright, i would like to give you the news that MORE mitsy are on the way!!! I dont want to say exactly where to keep it a surprise, but yeah
I know the EDITION is getting some... Would you happen to know of any others coming?
@@FloridianElevators an office called 1001 waterstreet is also getting mitsy
@@ElevatingFlorida AWESOME!!!!! HOPEFULLY they'll have DOAS!!! (Mitsubishi's Destination Dispatch system)
Wow, Mitsubishi? Not something I'd expect in Florida. I'm hoping to film these sometime soon as well!
Yup! These and the New Tower at the Seminole Hard Rock are the first of their kind in Florida!
@@FloridianElevators And the EDITION Hotel will be the third :D
@@TheElevatorGuru Yeah I know! I'm excited for them!
Mitsubishi elevators are rare in America, their mostly found in San Francisco and Chicano. Their found everywhere in other countries.
The service elevators have actual buttons!!
It is cool that Mitsubishi makes cars but I did not know they made Elevators, which I like Elevators and cars

These are amazing! I would love to see Mitsubishi elevators in Canada or least Atlantic Canada, I haven't seen them yet in my area
Well I enjoyed it. I really would like to see Mitsubishi elevators in Kentucky.
OMG Very Nice Mitsubishi’s!!! I LOVE THE TOUCH SCREENs. Me and Traction151 Chris Carson like the ones at One America Plaza in San Diego CA.
if it was kone we would have a sprite can cab
I didn't know they have an office in Tampa now!! Even have Generic stuff too but they have TOUCH!!
AMAZING!!!!!!!!!

I don’t think an elevator tech would be making stuff up lol
According to Mitsubishi techs, these are DiamondTrac MRL
They’re right across from the Mitsubishi escalators on the first few floors of that same hotel.
This I gotta see!
I ❤️ mitsubishi julian
Well I’ll be damned, Florida has Mitsubishi now. Now we gotta get some in Denver
And Kentucky.
With how much Denver is growing and the amount of new hotels and condos being built there, I'm surprised Mitsubishi hasn't started installing elevators over there...
Denver is also a very modern looking city too, so I'm also pretty shocked they never got there too ,haha
@@FloridianElevators for real!!
The JW isn't 5 stars. It's 4 stars. The Edition Marriott just down the street will be 5 stars when it opens.
Am I the only person who hates touchscreen COPs?
Those are some odd Mitsubishi lifts you have over there lol!
