Who Killed Malcolm X? New York to Pay $36 Million for Two Men Wrongfully Jailed For 1965 Murder

  • The city and state of New York have agreed to pay $36 million to settle lawsuits on behalf of two men wrongly convicted and imprisoned for decades for the 1965 assassination of Malcolm X. Muhammad Aziz and Khalil Islam were exonerated last year for the murder after investigators found "serious miscarriages of justice" in the case. They each spent more than 20 years in prison for a crime they did not commit, and Islam died in 2009 before his record was cleared. We speak to civil rights lawyer David Shanies, who represented the men in their lawsuit, and scholar Abdur-Rahman Muhammad, who helped spark the reopening of the case, and was featured in the 2020 Netflix documentary series “Who Killed Malcolm X?”

      @@nomsashezi9775 Not really why wasn't in the movie if we all knew who did it. In the movie they got those same two black guys from the NOI killing him when that was a false story. It was the white CIA government that killed him. J Edgar Hoover put a hit out on him he put it in a letter that what they should of had in the movie. But they was to afraid to really dig into the truth so what did they do blame the black men. That was the great Elijah Mohammed and Louis Farrakhan. You can't hear Farrakhan name at times in the comments section with them bringing up Malcolm X death and these are so called blacks by the way that what makes it even worse. But you notice they never mention J.Edgar Hoover who really wanted him up out of here. The CIA government got Malcolm X and Martin Luther King out of here before the age of years old. They got them out here because they were coming for respiration and land and 33 Country in Africa to hold White America government accountable for the murder of 100,000 of blacks killing and stolen land that what it was about had nothing to do with the NOI and they know that did Malcolm X violation with the NOI yeah he was by leaving the country going to Mecca and dragging the Minister name to the white man at that time it was a slap in the face. The late great Elijah Mohammed made him how he was that didn't want to kill him he was suspended and on his way back to the nation. He even wrote a apology letter to the late great Elijah Mohammed.

Malcolm released that it was all a scam and that the NOI were under the control of whytes. He knew it way before he spoke out, but just did not want to rock the boat at the time. Note how people like JFK, RFK, Malcolm and King get killed and their legacies keep getting attacked decades later, while their killers legacies have to built in a positive way with LIES?

      Malcolm didn’t believe in “race” and didn’t consider Negroe as an anthropological term. He fought for HIS people which were here in the US. The true Blacks, not the convoluted mess that we have now of every other formerly enslaved group trying to fit in to get in for what he and MLK and many others fought for. That’s it. That’s like saying Toussaint fought for the freedom of all formerly enslaved people or that Harriet sought to free slaves in every part of the world. SMH. He certainly was a humans right activist and believed all should be equal and treated as such but don’t lie and say he fought for “his race” when he didn’t even believe in the idea of race.

    African American historian and scholar Zak Kondo in his book “Unraveling the Conspiracy to Assassinate Malcolm X” has done the best work on this topic. Much of this information regarding Malcolm’s death has been known through Kondo’s book for 25 years. It’s good to finally see it come to surface.

    • @brucekarriem2681
      @brucekarriem2681 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @ShangoDC
      @ShangoDC ปีที่แล้ว

      @@brucekarriem2681 To be very specific in defense of Kondo’s scholarship. As it relates to the internal domestic task of US national security, the CIA deals specifically with international and covert operations of foreign governments and assassination of its leadership. The CIA is almost a shadow or secret government unto itself leaving a minimum amount of evidence of its dirt. I’m well aware of the attempts to poison Malcolm in Egypt, but that didn’t have to be the CIA it could have been other agencies within the US’s domestic convert apparatus. In the big picture the US security agencies all communicate and share information with each other, but specifically what agency is going to be tasked with the disruption tactics is probably a matter of how the enemy see’s the threat. Understanding the 60’s counter intelligence strategies Malcolm was primarily viewed as a domestic security threat, which came under the FBI and other domestic entities. In conclusion Kondo probably couldn’t find a CIA paper trail to Malcolm’s death, because all of what it does is declassified and off the books. For those that have been studying Malcolm’s death this information is not new or surprising, but I’m glad it got coverage on Democracy Now.

      El hajj malik el shabazz was poisened in egypt twice and he drew his own conclusions. One of the things that attracted me in 1977 when I first took an interest in malcolm were his connections to gamel abdel nasser,ahmed ben bella,jomo kenyatta,kwame nkrumah as well as others. The state dept sent carl Rowan abroad to try and undo what malcolm was doing abroad,and they were generally shocked as to the fact that these heads of state actually listened to malcolm. A rookie would be able to see that malcolm was an international threat to u s foreign policy. This is why his plane landed in France and they essentially said,you ain't coming in here. Turn around and go back,and it got deeper than that. Pia pinto of the mau mau was killed a day or two after malcolm. Can you see the connection. I know it's become fashionable today to simply say elijah did it and farrakhan too. This only shows that there's been great devolution in our thinking since the 60s. In the last message speech of feb 14th,65,Malcolm talk about the afro American who was simply going to Africa to party,,his word,,had said party,,as opposed to himself setting up oaau chapters throughout the continent. There's more,but I have to go. For the one hit wonder,zak kondo,to actually write,I found no evidence of CIA involvement is beyond glaring. It borders on the irresponsible. I worked vin a blue collar capacity in the nyc public school system. I witnessed teachers using spike lees movie as their primary source on malcolms life. Of course that silly flick shows no CIA involvement in malcolms demise. Why would it. However one would speculate that kondo could go beyond the thinking of spike lee,Warner brothers and the average nyc public school teacher

      The problem is white supremacy is the lawyer, police officer,schools and prisons. It’s a well organized system to keep down and eliminate the colored race. It is said “God is slow but he is sure”, and another saying “What is hidden in the dark shall come to light” these two go together. The Almighty intervention is going to work to free the downtrodden. It’s not just about those who are rotting behind prison walls, but the young black men who are walking the streets not being able to find a job because the police or the lawyer had them plea guilty for petty theft or misdemeanor. The jobs are there , but these young men constantly hear , background check not good. What type of system is this? Look at the atrocious crimes committed by others; it pays for them to commit crimes. God save America from the sins she is committing.
