iPhone 16 plus, upgrading from iPhone 13. Apple Watch 6 aluminum to titanium. Beautiful!! Upgrade phone every 3 series and watch every 4. Makes ‘should I or shouldn’t I’ decision much easier
Doesn’t SharePlay in the car require internet because it’s Apple Music? How would using Bluetooth help bc you would still need an internet connection in order to play the song they just added
iOS 18 is great so far: the redesigned control center and settings are welcome improvements. The new features added to Safari and the Notes app are welcome additions. Something to note: On my XR, battery health was at 84% before the upgrade. After updating to iOS 18, it is now at 78%. Another feature I was looking forward to was iPhone Mirroring but it has been proven to be unreliable in its current iteration. Hopefully that is fixed in an update.
Ultra 2 black titanium. Upgraded from 9. It’s beefy. I’m unimpressed by apples bands for the ultra so I’m rocking a cheapo from Amazon for now. Waiting for the next iPhone SE to upgrade from my 11 (shocking, I know) Not falling for the promise of future AI to upgrade to 16 now.
I got the iPhone 16 Pro, upgrading from the iPhone 15 Pro, only because I am on the iPhone upgrade program, or I probably would have skipped this update. I got the black 256 gb model. I chose black in the preorder process, then wished I had chosen white, but the black is actually really beautiful (my iPhone 15 pro, which I will be sending back, is titanium). I really was not expecting any big difference other than the additional button, but I was surprised by how obviously bigger the screen is. I really thought I would not notice it much at all, but it is significantly larger, while the phone is only a tiny bit bigger. I am hoping for better battery life and a phone that doesn't run as hot. The 15 pro was wicked hot compared to the 14 pro.
I upgraded from an AW4 44mm to a AW10 42mm in black, GPS. I wanted the lightest AW as I wear it whilst asleep. I considered the Cellular model as its 0.7 grams lighter but as I wouldn’t use the cellular functionality, the additional £100 to save 0.7 grams wasnt worth it. It was a difficult decision as both the AW10 46mm in Titanium & the Ultra2 in black look awesome & would be great to wear during the day, especially with the Ultra’s Action button which could be used to quickly Shazam tracks whilst driving. As both of these are to heavy to wear whilst in bed, the only way I could make that work would be to buy 2 watches for day & night use. A lot of money to spend on devices that will ultimately be out of date in less than a year. So for me, the cheapest & lightest option won the day.
Bought AirPods 4 with ANC because I can’t stand silicone tips. Hoping they work out because I am still using AirPods 2. The third generation didn’t fit well so returned those after one day. Also, I agree about iPhone mirroring being the best.
Cheers from Australia! Upgraded from the 14 Pro Max to a 16 Pro Max. It it’s noticeably bigger, the phone is huge. I can feel the phone being a lot more snappy. I do have an issue where the phone appears to not register touches and gestures like on the keyboard and scrolling compared to my 14 pro max? There was a security and bug fix update I did and the phone still says updating in the background, I guess I’ll wait a couple days.
Going to see iPhones today because I can't decide between teal and ultra marine. Getting the base model 16 with 128gb storage. I traded in an iPhone 12 for a s23 ultra last year and I can't wait to go back to a smaller iPhone and iOS. Hot take - I'm planning to use my iPhone naked too. Just a popsocket for me! I also really want a set of the new air pods 4, but I think I'll put those on my Christmas wishlist for now.
Was on an iPhone 11 Pro after my X's Face ID died on me, a year on my wife's hand-me-down 13 after she upgraded to the 15, and I'll be picking up my 16 Plus tomorrow.
Siri is still not available in my language (it's been 13 years since it was introduced) now a new generation of Siri should come out and I can't even use the first generation. Apple is focused on a few markets and others are not important.
Whoever came up with the idea of a camera button at Apple should be moved to another department, maybe the MacBook department? They need a lot of buttons there. I like the iPhones to be modern and futuristic, buttons are out, touchscreens are in. All the controls we need for the camera are on the screen and they’re faster to get to. Pressing a button to take a picture will add camera shake compared to a light touch on the screen, especially when your trying to get symmetry in a picture without having to crop or make adjustments after taking the picture. I think the next big thing for the iPhone will be under the display Face ID and maybe even camera. Apple probably already has this technology sitting in an underground lab in Cupertino. But I understand as a business you have to squeeze every cent in revenue out of the phones with small incremental updates each year because once you get to under the display Face ID and camera, then what? Foldable iPhones? They will have to rely on innovating on other products once the iPhone reaches its peak. Maybe we will see a camera hole punch on the Apple Watch in the future. Having said all this I’m a fan of the products Apple makes and I will be getting the natural titanium iPhone 16 pro and the AirPods 4 with ANC. Thanks.
Just used a thumbs up reaction at work in Slack and now I'm overthinking how it comes across. So thanks for that, Hartley 😂
the ANC on the AirPods 4 is shockingly good

You don't need a shortcut to the wallet app. Once it detects a NFC payment terminal it will present the default card.
Saw the launch. Went out immediately to order my iPhone. ...the 15 Pro Max at 40% discount at the local store.

iPhone 16 Pro DT, Watch gold titanium, 46mm. Coming from 15 Pro NT and Series 6 aluminum.

Upgrading to a watch series 10 from a series 4. Should be a decent upgrade yeah?
It’s amazing!
iPhone 16 Pro Black Titanium (in-hand) & AirPods 4 with ANC (arriving today)

Because I have issues: iPad M4, iPhone 16 pro max, Apple Watch Ultra 2 (black).
My Series 7 watch battery needed to be serviced so wound up upgrading to the series 10.
On the iPhone you are able to point and also circle things on the screensharing

I got my AirPods 4 with ANC today. Way much better fit in my ears, compared to the third generation. And they sound great!
Getting camera 16 pro max ( I mean iPhone 16 pro max) Apple Watch Ultra black and series 10 46mm aluminum. Coming from the 15 pro max and ultra 1
Waiting for an iPhone 16 Pro Max in Desert Titanium. Interested in AirPods 4 but not sure at the moment.
Was on an iPhone 11 Pro after my X's Face ID died on me, a year on my wife's hand-me-down 13 after she upgraded to the 15, and I'll be picking up my 16 Plus tomorrow.
iPhone 16 Pro w/512 and upgrading from iPhone 14 Pro
iPhone 16 Pro Max / from iPhone 15 Pro Max (for the camera and the extra battery life)
Just went from 15 pro to 16pro. Couldn’t get the pro max in time
Went to see iPhones. Loved the colours, not a fan of the camera button.
Waiting for a M4 Mac mini.
