- A Tribute to Helen Keller's Companion & Assistant Polly Thomson. (Often spelled "Thompson.") After Polly's death in 1960, Helen was assisted by Mrs. Evelyn Seide Walter until Helen's death in 1968.

It is very pleasant and instructive these moments of life. The emotion also, when she takes the hour with fingers, when she gets the children. Which courage had this woman.
I love your gentle story telling, Helen, & this video showing the loving relationship of these three great ladies is just so touching. Thk you for making this excellent video.
Such a wonderful video that nothing is impossible to achieve if you never stop trying. Helen Keller and her teachers has always been one of the most inspirational stories in my lifetime. I was starting tenth grade when Helen died.

It's a miracle Helen could talk at all , even if it was hard to understand. I've watched clips of her talking and I understand about 80% of what she says. I've seen a lot of deafblind people that only use sign language, and I'm glad Helen was able to talk verbally. If it was now, she could probably just use sign language

I always find that I'm much more entertained by these videos, and the stories they tell, than anything coming from Hollywood, or the garbage "reality" shows on TV!

I remember seeing a film about Helen Keller😭😖 about the year 1969, when I was being trained to be a teacher of English in the Maharagama Teacher Training College, Sri Lanka. I was surprised😖 at that time.
Now, as a 75-year-old retired teacher, I've seen this, and I marvel even more. Of course, up to the age of 19 months, Helen was "normal".👍 Don't children start talking😛 at about 12 months? And from birth she would have been able to see😊. I guess that this is worth reading up more about.👍

A very beautiful video.Thanks for sharing. Polly Thomson had to be a great lady to devote the rest of her life to Helen Keller.She and Helen teach us that love is the most important thing in life and that life has no meaning without love.
