Thank you for explaining why I didnt feel like myself when at 60 I cut my hair short because I had no remembrance of having short hair in my lifetime and wanted to have the experience. It was just above my waist at the time and I didnt expect it would ever grow back to that length. But now, at 65, it is below my waist and still growing. My intuition was not as good without my long hair and I just didnt feel 'right'. But I am very well now and extra with your explanation. Am Navajo.
Still have my long hair. Even if my grandma tried to make me cut it. I said nope. She was testing me how strong I am at heart to stand up for myself. She knows I am a warrior

I agree, there’s meaning in hair and it’s spiritual and I feel it. The last time I cut my long hair I too put it in a tree, I had no idea why, maybe for birds to make nests with, I didn’t know. Thanks for this information.
I cut mine off when I lost my son 16 years ago. It's long again now. Since I was a child, I always cried before, during & after hair cuts. I'm old now & I don't like haircuts 😮❤❤❤
I greatly enjoyed your story. Short hair was my thing for 40 years. I stopped cutting it when Covid hit. I couldn’t imagine cutting it again. The story of growing hair into a young tree was beautiful. I am grateful for your sharing :)

As a Rastafari, we have similar beliefs about our hair. Mine is 8 feet long and there are only a few people I will let touch my hair. Stay strong. Peace and blessings
As a secwepmectsin (secwepmec, Shushwap in english), its much appreciated to share in said similarities, after all, your people were, and are a strong people. I respect the fact Jamacia managed to repel the English colonizers, even if it was temporarily, it shows the tenacity of your people. Much respect.
I have studied the aspects of hair; personally, professionally, and spiritually, all my life. It is what I came here to help others recognize : their own personal power represented in the hair. I have come to see that being with this reflection that we open ourselves to clarity, knowledge, and Loving acceptance...and actually in a way beyond the context that most know how to currently consider. The hair is the antennae between our Conscious Being, and our physical world. Many are taught that the hair is "dead", I strongly disagree...the Hair moves, breathes, expresses as much as any other part of our biology in a way that is very alive. I have learned how to communicate with and through these forces in the Hair that I have found, it is a Sacred Tool. What One does with their own hair MUST be their personal choice, or the imbalance of lack of personal power in relationship to the world will reveal itself.
I have long hair. I braid it but leave much at the bottom unbranded to feel what is around me. I feel energies, happiness and joy, safety or danger. I feel those who pretend to like me and those who really do by the enegies I pick up. I pick up on sadness, sickness or calmness and goodness. I can tell a light heart from a dark one being concealed. I can tell if I'm in good company or if I should leave a group right away.
I almost always put my wife's hair in or by a tree when she brushes it so it can be used by birds for nests, even used to do the same when I owned dogs. It's a privilege when you see a bird grab it.
I agree with you everything you say is true I believe in my heart I love my long hair and take a lot of pride in it every since I was 12 years old I started growing my hair out and ever since I was younger than that I've always wanted to have long hair because of my uncle he had long hair and my father had long hair I wanted to be like them I love having long hair and makes me feel happy but so many people bully me because I have long hair and tell me to cut my hair every time that I cut my hair I feel miserable and unhappy I don't feel like I am myself but once I have long hair I feel that I am truly myself and the last time I cut my hair was when my mom passed away thank you for this video and God bless you
Thank you for sharing this Coyote. Thought the three strands explanation was very beautiful about each strand representing something: mind, body, and spirit and/or past, present and future. 3 seperate bound to one. Very grateful for your teaching. Not you alone but all that hold wisdom and are generously sharing some of it. It has more than once provided me with an explanation to things I really didn't understand about myself.. Like: why do I do this? And then someone shares a teaching and I'm like: wow.. I understand now why I never do such and such/ or/ always do such and such. Or why this feels good or that feels bad..
You hair creates nutrients for you and after three years we grow antennas on the end tht suck up the light. eventually our hair is said to stop growing when it gets to its desired lenght.
Oh my thank you so much for sharing your wisdom something has been calling me this for myself and my son for a good couple of years now. My son takes such pride in his hair and recognises the strength it holds. The braiding I have learnt and have always loved doing this when I was a child. Blessings to you.
I agree that the longer our hair is the better our connection is with Mother Earth. I agree that it gives us more strength. I also notice that it acts like an antenna of sorts. It helps us to better pick up on subtleties with situations, with other 2 and 4 legged souls, and with the Earth.
Love him sharing his knowledge I quit cutting my hair when Covid started .. it’s down to my waist now never cutting it.. thank you for sharing your stories … please post some new videos ❤❤❤
Thank you for sharing your teachings and beliefs to inspire the younger generation and those who want to understand why people are standing with Domique. I cut my hair after my dad transitioned because of what was taught to me from Dine' friends growing up. May the next 7 generations carry on the traditions of their people and remain strong going forward. Thank You! #boywithbraids #standwithDomique.
Longer hair is connected with sixth sense, thereby longer it is, it will have more feeling to the vibration of universal connected-ness tha engulfs whole universe with its faster than speed of light vibrations. Thus human being is need to have longer hair. It does not necessary to be longer than it should, which is about as in this video and shoulder length. It depends upon how healthy and younger the person is. Also it is connected with human's thrid eye, that which is in the center of brain Amygdala region.
WOW! I'm 60 my hair 8 months of growth I have it past my chest and I could grab my back hair with my hand from my waste band. When I brush my hair my hair brush gather loss hair I go outside and point north and the south wind blows I offer my hair to Usseen to better the earth and people's lives.
Very interesting. There are Polynesian cultures who also hold similar beliefs. Some Māori tribes of New Zealand believe that hair can harness spiritual power, or 'Mana', so individuals will avoid hair cuts to preserve this religious strength. Hawaiians who follow these traditions will not allow anyone to touch their hair unless they are a trusted family member, and often destroy/bury any strands that fall off the head to ensure no tampering will befall it
My son has long hair. We no longer remember why our boys and men had long hair in my culture. He has such a big energy and is very in tune with nature. We also cut our hair when our mothers die. But i didn't know about the tree. Thank you.
I heard a story once the military recruited native trackers to learn their technique. The military ordered uniform buzz cut, and the trappers lost their fine tune skills. They said it was because they had cut off their hair. So the military made the haircut an accepting for that unit only.
Kusktemucw, as a secwepmectsin in Tkemlups, this is good knowledge tk remember, for me i remember bits of this, but our beliefs have been deeply Anglo-Saxonized and its hard to sometimes distinguish between our traditional beliefs and beliefs that have real history that is tied to the land we come from.
And the sign said, long haired freaky people need not apply! So I tucked my hair up under my hat, went in to ask him why. He said you look like a fine upstanding young man, I think you'll do!!! I took out my hair from under my hat, and said imagine that me working for you!!!!!! 🚬💣👽💩🚲🎣🇺🇸
Yes we had to argue over clean or not as well because of older issues .. pest of any kind. The hair and the skin as our avatar holding. Yes my grandparent had this resemblance. The other tall and thin, yet native genes flow like the outline.
I believe Sampson would understand the importance of long hair. American football teams have guys with real long hair, but I never stopped to think they might have it that way for some special reason. As men we tend to loose hair. Maybe that’s not your experience. My cousin believes this and won’t accept balding. We are both related to native Americans. When history will prove that God cares less about those who don’t love him. Are facts.
