Thank you for explaining why I didnt feel like myself when at 60 I cut my hair short because I had no remembrance of having short hair in my lifetime and wanted to have the experience. It was just above my waist at the time and I didnt expect it would ever grow back to that length. But now, at 65, it is below my waist and still growing. My intuition was not as good without my long hair and I just didnt feel 'right'. But I am very well now and extra with your explanation. Am Navajo.

Still have my long hair. Even if my grandma tried to make me cut it. I said nope. She was testing me how strong I am at heart to stand up for myself. She knows I am a warrior

I agree, there’s meaning in hair and it’s spiritual and I feel it. The last time I cut my long hair I too put it in a tree, I had no idea why, maybe for birds to make nests with, I didn’t know. Thanks for this information.

I have studied the aspects of hair; personally, professionally, and spiritually, all my life. It is what I came here to help others recognize : their own personal power represented in the hair. I have come to see that being with this reflection that we open ourselves to clarity, knowledge, and Loving acceptance...and actually in a way beyond the context that most know how to currently consider. The hair is the antennae between our Conscious Being, and our physical world. Many are taught that the hair is "dead", I strongly disagree...the Hair moves, breathes, expresses as much as any other part of our biology in a way that is very alive. I have learned how to communicate with and through these forces in the Hair that I have found, it is a Sacred Tool. What One does with their own hair MUST be their personal choice, or the imbalance of lack of personal power in relationship to the world will reveal itself.

I have long hair. I braid it but leave much at the bottom unbranded to feel what is around me. I feel energies, happiness and joy, safety or danger. I feel those who pretend to like me and those who really do by the enegies I pick up. I pick up on sadness, sickness or calmness and goodness. I can tell a light heart from a dark one being concealed. I can tell if I'm in good company or if I should leave a group right away.

Very grateful for your teaching. Not you alone but all that hold wisdom and are generously sharing some of it. It has more than once provided me with an explanation to things I really didn't understand about myself.. Like: why do I do this? And then someone shares a teaching and I'm like: wow.. I understand now why I never do such and such/ or/ always do such and such. Or why this feels good or that feels bad..

I agree that the longer our hair is the better our connection is with Mother Earth. I agree that it gives us more strength. I also notice that it acts like an antenna of sorts. It helps us to better pick up on subtleties with situations, with other 2 and 4 legged souls, and with the Earth.

Longer hair is connected with sixth sense, thereby longer it is, it will have more feeling to the vibration of universal connected-ness tha engulfs whole universe with its faster than speed of light vibrations. Thus human being is need to have longer hair. It does not necessary to be longer than it should, which is about as in this video and shoulder length. It depends upon how healthy and younger the person is. Also it is connected with human's thrid eye, that which is in the center of brain Amygdala region.

Very interesting. There are Polynesian cultures who also hold similar beliefs. Some Māori tribes of New Zealand believe that hair can harness spiritual power, or 'Mana', so individuals will avoid hair cuts to preserve this religious strength. Hawaiians who follow these traditions will not allow anyone to touch their hair unless they are a trusted family member, and often destroy/bury any strands that fall off the head to ensure no tampering will befall it

I heard a story once the military recruited native trackers to learn their technique. The military ordered uniform buzz cut, and the trappers lost their fine tune skills. They said it was because they had cut off their hair. So the military made the haircut an accepting for that unit only.

Long hair is or was popular with Europeans. Having shorn hair was a sign of servitude or criminality. Read the Old Testament, under Leviticus. God commanded that men not shave or shape their beards or cut the sides of their hair. I always laugh at Narive Americans are the only ones who wear hair long. Some Americans shaved their heads. We are all more alike, at the same time more unique if one would slow down and refrain jumping to conclusions.

As men we tend to loose hair. Maybe that’s not your experience. My cousin believes this and won’t accept balding. We are both related to native Americans. Hair is more for women to fix up and look good. Yeah man can too but long hair is for more unbalding women. Dating coaches have proved this, looks to catch but the essence of you to keep her. Keeping long hair to be grounded or close to the land when you should be trying to be close to God. Just imagine the people who make God happy. When history will prove that God cares less about those who don’t love him. Are facts.

Maybe you need to read your Bible again and get with some modern history, start with the residential schools cause you shouldn’t be telling native Americans NOTHING.

"The Importance of Long Hair in Indigenous Culture"
That's because invention isn't a priority with Indians. It might have been different if they have come up with scissors.
