In Raiders of the Lost Ark, hieroglyphics in the tomb show the ancient Egyptians had encountered Star Wars droids, so both Indiana Jones and ET exist in the Star Wars universe.

So whatever happens with the two droids we know they somehow end up travelling all the way to our galaxy and arrive on Earth during the time of the ancient Egyptians.
And with the previous connection between Raiders of the Lost Ark and Captain America it would seem we have Star Wars, Indianna Jones, ET and the MCU all sharing a universe.
Oh, and maybe a wookie arrived with the droids and taught the vine swinging roar to people in Africa who, many centuries later, taught it to Tarzan!

The whole Punisher in Spiderman 2 thing was actually because of Kevin Fridge. That was indeed the original intent. Feige was a producer on all the early Marvel films. Even as far back as that he was attempting to create a shared Marvel universe. Hugh Jackman's Wolverine was even suppose to make a cameo in the previous film. Unfortunately he couldn't get the studios to play ball.

I would say that the video is off about E.T. knowing Yoda - the events of Star Wars happen "a long time ago", so presumably Yoda was dead long before E.T. was born. He might be familiar with the species, though, so as the first non-human species he's seen and recognized on this planet he may have assumed the "Yoda" could help him get home.

Worth noting that in Guardians of the Galaxy, Star Lord mentions that the Orb/Power Stone has an "ark of the covenant" vibe. Now, that plays as a reference to a movie he watched as a kid, but it could ALSO play as a reference to "actual historical events" dealing with the ark that happened in Raiders....so it almost reinforces that Raiders of the Lost Ark could have occurred within the MCU as actual history.

While I didn't know about any of these relationships, it's not that surprising. I've often said that there are only so many original ideas for humankind to imagine. This video proves my point very well. I will add that it's pretty cool to think that Star Wars and E.T are in the same universe. But only are they is that so, but E.Ts people must be even more superbly advanced than we ever thought to think that they were able to develop technology that allowed them to travel between galaxies. A feat that we have learned from the Star trifecta of Star Trek, Stargate, and Star Wars is indicative of exceedingly high levels of technological advancement.

I've just watched it Marc, and I thought it was a fantastic little film!
Brilliant cinematography, a suitably eerie soundtrack, and a cast of offbeat characters worthy of the Coen Brothers themselves!
The lead actress was absolutely awesome, and played her with a sense of disconnect that was amazing. Why this film isn't more widely known is a crime!!
I did a little digging, and found that it's based on a true story, or more precisely, an urban legend that grew up around a true story.
So what you have, is a film that's based on a story that's based on a true story, about a film that pretends to be based on a true story!
It *really* doesn't get any more 'meta' than that does it!!
