We checked out Official髭男dism (Official Hige Dandism) and their song Pretender that was requested in the comments! This one hit a little differently with us this time, but was a good change of pace. If I remember correctly, I think some of them went to the same uni and made the band after or close to graduation. They talked about it when they did NHK's Songs of Tokyo. The show has eng subs.

Yeah! I was thinking about the kanji separately so 髭 (ひげ) and 男 (おとこ) so I thought it was going to be ひげお as like bearded man. I don't know why I thought to drop the とこ at the end. I'm still a little confused as to why it's read as ひげだん instead. If you could explain it to me I would super appreciate it! Thank you for clarifying for me! 😊 -E
@@kemchicovers2000 There are two types of kanji, kun-yomi and on-yomi. Kun-yomi is a reading that makes sense only by the words. On-yomi is a reading method that cannot be understood by itself and is used as an idiom in combination with other kanji. The kun-yomi of "男" is (otoko=man), and the on-yomi is (dan). There are many ways to read Kanji, not just one. I'm sorry for the poor explanation. I used Google Translate.
kd is right. danshi 男子 means boys, joshi 女子 means girls (these terms used at school especially)
