Rimworld is a colony management game and it's one of my favorites. Like, If I had to pick 5 games to take with me to a deserted island Rimworld would probably be on that list. I highly recommend it. In this video, I did my best to summarize the downfall of my nursing home colony. I hope you enjoyed the video and I hope you consider getting Rimworld if you haven't played it. As a healthcare worker. The confused old man falling immediately after getting out of bed 50 times in a row is the most realistic thing I have seen in rimworld.
Oh my this is taking me back to my nursing home days... Luckily I love old people so I never resorted to surgically removing their limbs 😇

I was hoping with Grandpa's cybernetic upgrades, he'd kick the raiders ass and save the whole colony from the aliens. However, I forgot that he is an 80 year old crack addict so naturally my hopes were brought down super fast when he was in the face of danger.
I mean, that tribeswomen kidnapped him pretty quick. I bet it was because of the cyber cock.
I feel like grandma hopping into The cryopod and grandpa being captured is a sign for a continuation, as The video revolved around grandpa after all

Oh god, that ending is legit heartbreaking. Everyone dead, Doctors just lying on the floor, barely conscious and faintly aware of the music playing, making her feel just that tiny bit better.
And grandma is left to be suspended, and doctors last enjoyment is ripped away.
oh dont worry, thats the best ending they can have in rimworld anyways...

I mean it’s possible! In my world I discovered 6 people in a cryopod. Apparently they’ve been asleep for 800 years.
Tis but a natural occurrence in Rimworld, my friend.
Your colonists stumble upon an ancient structure, burrowing through the walls, hoping the mechanoids aren't inside, waiting to kill your men, women and children upon seeing daylight, and open a cryopod to discover a person with a history of their own, all on their own.
Then you proceed to harvest their organs and sell them on the market to buy a single prosthetic limb to make one of your best colonists more betterer.
I like to imagine that the Gardener is just being enslaved and starts thinking something like "Everyone back at the colony must be having such a better time than me"
I love how Charborg gave Grandpa cybernetic limbs but just left him blind

When doctor was dying i kept hearing the walking dead still alive music in my head
Doctors death actually could be a very good scene. Just a man lying on the floor surrounded with people he failed to save, the whole world they builded is destroyed. In the middle of a chaos, only thing that makes him happy is a music playing, but soon it stops playing too. Lights turn out, music turns out, and as a doctor looks at the ceiling, he dies

Edit: The game does have pretty realistic screens, charborg just played it up better. Also he adds other screams on top of it which could still be a mod. Still would love to see it 3 months later, lol.

Rissa looked around her, she looked at her friends, her colleagues, the people that took care of her all shot down. All he had left was the bottles of alcohol and a bed. Everything that she ever cared about was gone, she had no more reason to live. The only thing left for her to do was to make all of the pain end, she wanted the sweet release of death. And finally, when the aliens took over, it crossed the line.
Rissa walked through those doors leading to the closest alien, without a care in the world. Seeing all of those people dying killed her mentally, so there was no going back.
As she was being shot by the aliens bullets, she could not feel anything, not even the bullets grazing the side of her skull.
The only thing left was shame, shame of what she had become.
Shame from the alcohol addiction, shame from her rude behavior. She had done so many horrible things in this nursing home, and this would be her punishment.
As she finally fell to the floor, she was smiling. She finally did something beneficial for humanity, by removing herself from it.
She was finally happy.

I think Caboose's death hit the builder the hardest, he couldn't even manage to attend the funeral and tried to drink his sorrows away. Then he was lit on fire and just accepted his fate

this is honest-to-god one of the funniest videos i've ever seen. the laughs are nonstop. nothing ever STOPS going wrong. every time i thought "well, that's rock bottom!" i was immediately proven wrong by the cruel hands of rimworld fate. rest in pieces 😔✌️
The beautiful thing about Rimworld is that it's not a game about having the best or most powerful colony, or even surviving. You use it to make stories that are both fun to experience and funny to talk about later. Think about all the possible outcomes of this colony; it could have been triumphant victory with slim odds, or tragic defeat.
I would love to see more Rimworld content. There's also a mod called Real Ruins that lets you build on top of other players' dilapidated colonies. I'd bet there's a way to build on top of your own failed colony, hundreds or thousands of years later, and try to make something from the crumbled stone. Just a thought.

This is maybe the most poetic rimworld playthrough I've ever seen
By locking herself in the cryptosleep casket, grandma has officially turned into one of the ancients that you find in ancient dangers, doesn't matter how long it takes until someone else stumbles onto the ruins, opens the cryptosleep casket and finds grandma, seeing how old and frail she is, the people who found her will take her to their own old folks home, creating a repeating cycle in which grandma is effectively immortal
This is better than any short film I've seen in ages! The characters, the plot development, the comedy, the intensity. Not to mention Charborg's godly voice narrating! 10/10 Definitely saving this video! Sincerely, -Random Guy on Internet.

That had to be the most devistating end for doctor oh my god. Died out on the floor of the hospital surrounded by the dead and the ruins listening to the radio, only for the power to go out and die in the silence. This was an amazing video, 11/10 even tho its quite old by now lol
The scene where the dog sleeps in the butchery was excellent foreshadowing 10/10

If this was a horror game (first person): you start as either the man in black or the doctor (I'll say both ideas) if it was about doctor then you need to hide (under beds or in the vents), find keycards, go through the broken walls and escape while dodging the centipedes when you escape you get a cutscene of you opening the cryo casket letting grandma out you shortly after bleed. But if it was about the man In black then you would begin outside, you then need to find a way inside, after that you need to find clues to why the lights are off and why everything is destroyed, then you find a body you then look at the dark on your left and you see something emerging from the dark, it's a centipede, then you find doctor, he tells you about the centipedes after talking to him the door gets thrown and something enters you either hide or run if you hide, then you see the doctor torn apart. If you run then nothing happens you just run after doing some puzzles and all, you escape you find grandma and escape with her. Came back after 1 year lol
a year later and this still holds up as a perfect microcosm of what playing rimworld is like. even if you do everything right, sometimes things just don't work out-- your entire colony is razed by killer robots, and your colonists are kidnapped by ruthless raiders.
One minute in and you've already messed with Gundham's dark devas!

Rimworld is like running a day care for a bunch of Chris Chan’s, you could have some perfectly good rice but instead of eating that they will go all the way across the map to eat the corpse of thier best friend then proceed to start lighting the entire map on fire because they didn’t eat on a table
That ending was so sad T_T Imagine Doctor listening to “And now, the end is near... Time for the final curtain...” And then it just fizzles out into nothing as she faded to black.
Video literally had me in tears. Of joy or sadness you can decide.

I was just waiting for Caboose to somehow save the day or be the nursing home's ultimate destroyer.
Part two
Grandma's grandchildren come and save her and upon learning of what happened to the nursing home and its inhabitants she builds a tribe to take it back, most likely failing in every way and then being massacred
