Daria Tsykunova is 22 years old, she is the girlfriend of Ilya Samoilenko, a soldier of the Azov Regiment, who stays at the Azovstal plant.
Ilya Samoilenko is the commander and speaker of Azov. Together with his comrades, he is at Azovstal and has been defending for three months. Daria tells how she met the full-scale russian invasion of Ukraine, how her grandfather built part of Azovstal, and now her boyfriend Ilya is in the ruins of the plant. How we should get involved and disseminate information about Azovstal and Mariupol on a daily basis, how to help the soldiers, how to call for extraction. I am Canadian and I am deaf, too. I have heard and seen a lot about Azov Regiment. I was familiar of Ilya Samoilenko, Denys Propokenko, Stanoslav Palamar, and Serhiy Volyna, but mostly interested in Iyla because of his honesty, courage and humble. I have so much respect for Ilya and it's a surprised that Daria is his partner. It's so inspirational. I feel sad for Mariupol and the Azovstal and Azov Battalions who were tired battling with Zombies for 2 months. Your boyfriend was also a hero. Not only tried to Save Mariupol, they also fought for the country and they represented the city and the country. Slava Ukraini!! Stay Strong, Daria!! Ukraine will victory!
