I absolutely love this and it’s my dream to do this, but I’ll admit the reason this isn’t the best strat is because the muskets aren’t historically correct and that’s intentional. The reason GnB doesn’t encourage this is because muskets are unnaturally accurate making line combat intended for maximizing miss shot utility less useful considering each musket hits as long as it aims in that spot. In real life, muskets would go left or right more often than not and as such they made lines so where one guy misses, the miss shot of the other guy misses into a hit. Absolutely great work though, really impressed and loved seeing historically (To the greatest extent) accurate demonstration of my favorite and one of the most crafty and organized style of warfare - Line Combat.

formations of skirmishers firing prone or behind over existed at the time and were armed with standard smoothbore muskets so yes muskets are useful outside line formation but because its single shot an individual soldier can't produce a lot of firepower on his own even if he was armed with rifled muskets (even in the time of rifled muskets there are still line infantry and skirmishers both armed with accurate rifle but still fought in line because its not about accuracy of the gun). also smoothbore muskets are accurate up to 100 meters with military load (up to 200 for civilian smoothbore fowlers with patched balls) that is a lot of distance for most of the maps in this game, calling it "unnaturally accurate" is beyond silly
Fun fact : you can use feu de deux rangs tac tic in this game. It's used to avoid the whole regiment reloading while enemy literally 1 cm away from you, it's literally like machine gun, but it's people version. Basically, each person have to wait untill it was his turn to fire.

True. Even a fief main like I am, if I can a partner, we can utilize the cannons because you can get the rounds and canisters fast. The cannoneer essentially only needed to aim.
i think you should try out "Fire and Advance" drills, where the second like moves forward after the first line. It would be intresting to see how it would work in G&B cause some maps are Urban with tight roads (Leipzig, and Kaub), perfect for the fire and advance line tactic.
In the Napoleonic wars they would always form 3 ranks (reminder ranks are just lines) the 3rd rank would always reload the fired muskets from the 2nd rank but since you can’t do that then it’s better just to do 2 ranks
Ooz heres an idea for part 3, get like 25 people, and become the emperor by using /emperor command in the server. Then 5 people are the imperial guard then there are 3 line infantry groups each have 4 infantry and an officer. And then the other 5 people become like a parade squad so they have drums and fifes and technically just cheer up and march and the ceremonies and stuff.
Now, this isnt intended or necessary in actual llay, but some improvements to giving commands would make it better. One change would be to have a pause in between commamds. (Example: PRESENT! 1sec later AIM! 1sec later FIRE!) Or (example: RANK 1! 0.5 or 0.3seconds later FORWARD!) Tone and snap are also of some importance, so your orders SOUND like orders rather than suggestions. Another would to have more than one person capable of giving orders, in case the officer dies. This would also be useful if the cannons needed to be used, like at the end of the catacombs map. I do understand this was probably more of a test, or just for fun, and wasn't mentor be 100% effective.
Also, to correct my self, AIM and PRESENT are the same command. So only one is needed. Also also, if cohesion is lost (for those who dont know, cohesion is a squad or other formations organization. IE if there in a line, they are cohesive. Whenthe break formation, the lose cohesion.) Having a command that just means survive would be useful.

Ass strategy, good for sending a wall of led sure, but since it’s zombies you don’t want damage input, you want a constant fire, so what I suggest is rolling fire, where one shoots and goes to the back to reload, a 2nd person shoots, and goes to the back and reload, the third shoots and then goes to the back to reload. By the time the third goes to the back to reload, the 1st would of been done reloading. You could use this strategy for any amount of people 3+.
So here is an idea i dont know if its historically accurate but if you got the ability to get 15 men in battle try to get three seamen for close quarters but if its not historically accurate maybe use it in another vid
