Jumps are super loud in this game I noticed, but instead of anti-airing every time SF heard them they seem to default to just blocking high because they didn't know if it was going to whiff from a bait or cross-up and they'd eat a punish. They made a really smart choice based on missing information rather than just swinging and hoping for the best which I feel like most players would have done in this situation. Drilling muscle memory for a fighting game, a sport, or playing complex pieces of music, yeah that's definitely commendable as a skill, but having to improvise that muscle memory and choose in the moment which things you practiced you want to use right this second - when a cue you're usually reliant on is gone - that's what masters do.

Audio cues, and controller vibrations tell you a lot, but the guy holding his shoulder can tell him about spacing depending on which shoulder he holds, how tight he grips his shoulder, and something as simple as tapping his shoulder is a good way to relay info. He’s also talking to him mid match. Wakka got scammed lol

I have no sight whatsoever, and I bet he could have done with just the audio cues. crazy thing is there are a ton of accessibility features in mk1 he could have turned on, clicks and bleeps that signify different things that, as a true full-blind player, I use. He didn't even use those things! Respect.

If it was pro vs pro, sure. Probably the best pro at mk1 vs a solid to good casual player isn't all that crazy. Especially with how he uses Kenshi's move set. He can figure out where you are pretty easily whether he connects or not.
