Soooooo peaceful! Very nice architectural preservation & renewal.
There are luxury hotels in China. This is by no means the best. The Aman chain is trying very hard to establish themselves in the luxury market through advertising and self proclamations.

Hangzhou (and China) has very nice gardens, all around the lake, maybe that makes this hotel the best?
Peaceful serene.. a piece of heaven on earth. Aman hotel doesnt advertise or if they are, its very rare. By mouth advertising is much preferred means those whove tried it let it be the one to tell the world.

闹中取静，灵隐寺旁，听雨声绵绵，悟佛家钟声，日坐屋外品龙井，夜行溪边听蛙鸣。多么美好而又向往的地方，安缦法云。世界上这样的宾馆也着实不多了，就是太他妈的贵了，老子一个月工资都不够

the room is a little dark, but it is ancient Chinese building character.
