In Kampong Thom Province: HE Chan Sinath, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology, led a technical working group of the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology of Kampong Thom Province to inspect the progress of the construction of Kampong Kor Reservoir, which is actively underway in Stung Sen City, Kampong Thom Province. .
On that occasion, HE Secretary of State also inspected the rehabilitation of Stung Slap system, which is the main drainage and diversion system of Kampong Thom province.
The Secretary of State stated that the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology, in close cooperation with the Ministry of Economy and Finance, as well as the participation of development partners, has built three reservoirs on the Stung Sen River: 1) Reservoir Reservoir In Rovieng district, Preah Vihear province, 2) Dang Kambet reservoir in the border area of ​​Preah Vihear and Kampong Thom provinces, and 3) Kampong Kor reservoir in Stung Sen town, Kampong Thom province.
The Secretary of State emphasized that these large reservoirs are built as a transmission system from the highlands to the lowlands, complementing each other with billions of cubic meters of water, ensuring water security for all sectors, especially services. Production in all seasons has the potential to cover Preah Vihear, Kampong Thom and parts of Siem Reap, Kampong Cham and Kampong Chhnang.
