BKC is obviously phenomenally done as far as Indian Standards. However, tje vibes you get in extreme South Mumbai, the British styled localities, look different and more appealing to me (just an opinion, don't come shitting over me)

@@ashwanilal5244 well I'm not expert in this field but I think the dust created by heavy construction kind of makes those markings disappear and to answer to your question that most of the big cities have construction going on but I think it totally depends on municipality how quickly they repaint the road

@@ritaviksakpal you can create strong anti-monopoly competition laws and disrupt the monopoly. The government is outdated and does not have the expertise or technology to do so. Just look at the state of Indian railways if you want your country to be stuck in 1970s the let govt do everything.
These roads are anyways built by private contractors by tenders floated through BMC. So in a way the roads are built by private players but without any set of standards imposed which enables them to cut costs.
There is a road mafia amongst the BMC and private contractors in Mumbai. These contractors build substandard roads so come monsoon the tenders for repairs are floated again. A contractor gives bribes to the BMC officials to favour his company for the tenders. So the cycle repeats win win for both. This is the reason for the quality of roads that you see.
More than anything we need an institutional wide standard for road construction and quality assurance enforced. Mr. Nitin Gadkari has already exposed these contractors and is now going to set and enforce these standards. Hopefully it translates to the local road network as well rather than just highways.

I find the condition of Indian roads are improving but I wonder why there is no lane marks on them. Also I find dust is not cleaned regularly and still cows and stray dogs roaming freely on them.
Because of construction dust cannot be removed permanently and dogs and cows have their own life india is great country who gave them freedom too unlike other dumb nations who only think about their self and don't respect other living creatures
