Can the large FX knobs be used as wet/dry for the filter if .... you connect a RCA from the send to the return on the back of the mixer, then turn on the XFX and adjust the filter to about 50%. Technically you would be sending the audio signal out and then back in. The audio signal will then be able to be filtered. But no filter effect will be heard until you turn the large knob to wet. Amy I right ????????
I have bought yesterday a xone 43c mixer and i was djing tonight at a club, and during the night 3 times that sound just stoped, and i had to restart the mixer for the sound to come back. Mixer was still working ok and serato software, just the sound went off. And i dont know the reason. The only thing that i think was wrong from my side is that i connected the dj booth speaker jack cable, in the headphones socket on the mixer because the mixer does not have a jack socket but rca for the booth speaker. Does this affect what happened, or is somethng else with the mixer?
Hi, I have a 43c, and am wondering what the purpose of adjusting the bumpers is, and whether it would help me with an issue. I'm currently using Pioneer Rekordbox and wondered if my only option is to use the Xone as an 'external' mixer, rather than 'internal'. I wish to utilise Rekordbox's lighting feature, but it only works to maximum effect in internal mode. When I have the Xone connected during internal mode, I can't seem to configure the settings to make the mixer work with it, even though it's a 'digital' mixer. Is this something that could be solved by adjusting the jumper settings? Thank you.
Hi Thanks for the message, The buffer setting is to do with how many samples from the discrete detail signal are processed (buffered) before the playback signal is sent. Adjusting this mainly equates to a trade-off of audio quality and performance against latency. I don’t think this where your problem lays. Also, please note; the Xone:43C is an analogue mixer with built-in interface. Hardware such as the 43C ideally would be used in ‘external’ mode with software, as most would want to mix and sum with the actual mixer, rather than software. Internal mode mixing lends itself more to the controller domain. It is possible to use the 43C as MIDI controller with the MIDI enabled controls. 43C has 18 MIDI enabled controls, 14 Buttons and 4 Faders that can be assigned to enable control of various parameters in the software, though, it will need to be mapped in the software in order to work. Hello German Singer, yes you can use the Xone43c sound card with Ableton. Just select it as the audio device in preferences/audio then set up to 4 stereo tracks in Ableton for each channel on the 43C. Cheers Luke.
