    Question List:
[00:00] Q1: James, you mentioned that you've shifted away from playing singles in pickleball. Can you share why you made this decision and how you plan to approach singles in the future?
[01:08] Q2: You talked about the specialization between singles and doubles players in pickleball. What do you think are the key differences in training and skills required for success in both formats?
[03:00] Q3: You mentioned the importance of humility and hard work in your journey to becoming a successful pickleball player. Can you elaborate on how these qualities played a role in your improvement?
[04:09] Q4: You touched on the idea that pickleball and tennis have different skill sets. Could you explain further what sets these two sports apart in terms of talent and abilities?
[07:22] Q5: You've emphasized the importance of getting a lot of practice reps to improve in pickleball. Can you share some specific drills or training routines that you found particularly effective in your development?
[08:35] Q6: In terms of training partners, you mentioned drilling with Davis and Hugo. Can you describe how training with high-level players like them has impacted your game and strategy?
[09:17] Q7: James, you mentioned that training for more than two hours can lead to getting sloppy. Could you elaborate on the challenges of maintaining focus and precision during longer practice sessions?

I can't remember where I heard this but I remember hearing or reading that at one point James would do 3 hour dinking (drill sessions). I imagine not that many of the new to pro pickleball (from tennis) folks would really do that. unless they were watching tons of pro doubles pickleball matches. if you look at how James hits a two-handed backhand dink, he has his own signature technique of doing that (for his body), so I can believe he did work really hard to develop his doubles game.

Uh, not to be a contrarian but that level of practice is pretty normal for pros. Even tons of rec players drill a bunch - pros are very often drilling every day

It's amazing how quickly and easily they admit to bering CA's!!

All due respect to Querry - he had a massive serve but the rest of his game was average. So I’m not surprised that he didn’t transition to pickleball successfully.

Thank you for your time and posting. Did I hear that correctly? Ignatowich is glad the back draw is gone from PPA because he gives a crap about players trying to get better and doesn't want them to get the experience? And he lies to people about the sport? Yeah, this is what any new sport needs. What a smuck. Lost all interest in Ignatowich.
Maybe, gentlemen, it is time to form a Players' Union so that there is a minimum of standards at each venue (at the very least). For example, if it's over 90 degrees out, a mandatory air-conditioned player's room w/ cold beverages is available. If it is over 100 degrees, all doubles matches will be 2 out of 3 instead of 3 out of 5. Let the players set many of the standards instead of PPA (I understand MLP already does a good job for players). PPA could care less about players. I heard they want 40 events in 2024. You don't think gambling has anything to do with that either? Thanks for your time.

Exactly what I was thinking. What kind of competitor celebrates less competition? Super weird

It's at all levels, so many players that have that kind of shitty attitude. Players that say they are competitors but don't really want to compete .

Oh, I just took that as ironic humor. If he was actually serious…. 🫣
