He is the hardest director to rank because they're all SO good. And my ranking changes every few months (I always said Kill Bill was my favorite but you brought up a good point about Volume 2 not being as strong as Volume 1).....I should add I've seen every one from Kill Bill on, in theaters on the big screen where all his films are meant to be seen. This is my personal ranking, but if I were a film critic, my ranking would be very different and Death Proof would be at the bottom and Basterds would be at the top. Dogs would be higher too.
    1. Jackie Brown
    2. Kill Bill (both)
    3. Inglourious Basterds
    4. Pulp Fiction
    5. Death Proof (I know it's meant to be bad, but I love it)
    6. Django Unchained
    7. Once Upon a Time In Hollywood
    8. The Hateful Eight
    9. Reservoir Dogs (I know don't kill me!)

What do you mean most of the clues are red herrings?
Most of them add up to final twist.

    1: Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood

I think ranking Tarantino can be so divisive because he has NO BAD MOVIES! Even death proof gets flack for being his "worst" yet it holds up compared to the vast majority of films, especially today.

Also a Brian De Palma ranked would be really cool if you need a new video idea 💡

Basterds, Django and Pulp Fiction are his best films in my opinion (in no particular order). Then it gets more tricky. Dogs and Hateful 8 are kind of similar, though Dogs is more tight and respects the audience's time and attention more - but in Quentin's defence the original H8 script got leaked and he had to rewrite. I like to defend Jackie Brown but it's not one to rewatch in a hurry. Same goes with Death Proof.
They're all good, really. What's an interesting question to me is what Tarantino movie do you actually want to watch right now? I'm leaning towards the Hateful Eight. Maybe Django.

Great list!!! Its so fun to see every list can be so different, just shows that he hasnt made a "bad" movie

Absolutely! All his films are defensible as one of his best so there's no wrong way to rank them, just depends on personal preference

Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, and Django are goated. Jackie Brown and Kill Bill rank #4 and #5. Inglorious Basterds and Kill Bill vol 2 bring in the rear. OUATI Hollywood, Hateful 8, and Deathproof finish it out.

Hateful Eight 🌟 is his BESt for me. No question.
    Pulp Fiction is overrated.

You're certainly entitled to your opinion! I think Pulp lives up to the hype but Hateful Eight is massively underrated

Agree with Hateful Eight, it's his best effort. But Pulp Fiction is a masterpiece too!

Jackie Brown in my opinion is criminally underrated. I also agree with you that Kill Bill 2 has a far slower pace and it’s a shame

  • @creedecriswell634
    @creedecriswell634 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

Man what compelling arguments you made for why volume 2 isn’t good.
I could do the same thing for literally any movie.
Do you not realize that volume 2 is slow paced to deliver character development and background on the characters?
You don’t give any actual points against it.
    Besides not enough action
    Too slow

Dude in no world is death proof a 1/10
This might be the most overhated movie I’ve ever seen
