My dad plays guitar, we would routinely stop around the music stores in my city growing up, loved every second of it. Its like walking into a toy store as a kid, but even more expensive and more tempting to touch.
01:38 - K-On fans will instantly recognise these yellow drums, in the show they are made by Yamaha. Of course, fans will also recognise other instruments since the show actually uses real world instruments and their Logo's etc.
@@possibly8180 - You may be right, I am not sure, I was hoping the camera would pass by the front of the bass drum so we could see who makes it. In K-On, Ritsu's drum (the yellow set she has) looks nearly identical to this one, I have a statue of it aswell, it is not 100% the same but VERY similar (this one is missing a third Cymbal (plus they are also mounted differently) and the drum on the front right is a bit taller than the K-On version). All of the instruments in the show are based on real instruments, with the actual companies Logo's on them, so I am pretty sure you could buy the actual Yamaha one if you searched long enough, or you could buy this as a "close enough" replacement.

I think Chad from 311 had a kit like the one at 2:19 at one point. And he is a Pearl Artist, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same series and everything!
i don’t play an instrument at all! but brass instruments have been kind of a special interest for me over the past year… so i love going to music shops and seeing and holding them… unfortunately for me most music shops don’t have them
i was about to comment this, im actually a percussionist from mexico and i know these by "cajon peruano" and "cajon flamenco" so im guessing its more of a general spanish kinda thing worth to mention that cajón by itself would mean 'big box', being the augmented version of caja
I feel you need to make a trip to Bavaria in Germany where there is a little village called Treppendorf that might be of interest, there's supposedly a good family owned music store there, can't be that big though given it's just a village. Might even have some drums on show.
This year should be especially interesting for visiting that place around summer time since it will be 70 year anniversary and I imagine there will be a festival or a similar event
They have a lot of sets set up, maybe 30-40. Also cymbal room etc. It's pretty huge and they have all kinds of instruments, not just guitars. Thomann is the biggest music online shop in europe, that's why it's so big
Hey I have a question for you. How do you record multiple mic inputs or instruments into separate tracks in one recording? I got an audio interface with 4 xlr input channels, right and when I connect it to the computer, both pc and Mac, it's all in one track. How does one separate the tracks? I have learned that you could put one input balance all the way to the left and the next one all the way to the right to get two tracks but that's only 2 out of the 4. If you have any tips could you throw one my way? I've searched for how to do it but I'm either not wording it right or no one has done a video or have any documentation on how to do it. And thanks for all the aftershow content can't wait to watch it all. Cheers
@Jamie-McateeAudio sorry I'm new/old to the audio game. When I was younger I did audio broadcast journalism in high school and did the soundboard for my church live band. I know the programs have changed since then the hardware has changed too but not as much. I don't know what DAW is but I'm willing to learn. I'm just picking it back up now the last time I did anything like this was 13~14 years ago. So if you have any tips let me know thanks.
You'll need to set up your interface with your DAW (Digital Audio Workstation, for example yours would be FL Studio) so that you can allocate each input of your interface to its own track. Here's a short video that I hope will help, and if it's still not clear then try searching for the name of your interface and FL Studio on google to see if someone has made a more thorough tutorial. Good luck! th-cam.com/video/SyQKGLioVYk/w-d-xo.html
@thegreenfish21 thanks I'll try that, tho the problem I have is that the board is a mixer, not an audio interface. I read the description on it wrong. I wanted the ability to record multiple individual tracks at once. I thought I could mix while recording multiple individual tracks and then come back later to edit the individual tracks how I like later on. I have my eye on the Zoom arms 44 I think that's what it's called. What I need is the ability to record 4 xlr mics and possibly an aux. Which it I think the zoom can. Sorry for the long response, but this is the 3rd time typing this out. Lol, but if you have a suggestion on the hardware, I would appreciate it.

I'm a professional guitarist, have been for years, and I still don't know how to be in a music store and not want to touch everything 😭
I’m the same way. Except for the professional guitarist part, I’m a drummer though, but the want to touch everything is real.
Play Stairway to Heaven, I DARE YOU!!!!!! ‼️❗❗❕
i don't even play but i wanna touch them all
Snobbery learn it
They really are like toy stores where they just leave it all out and let you play with everything.
Bruh who decided to put the drum department at the top of the stairs that’s some evil shit 😂

paying quiet is an art. paying drums quietly is sort of like playing Darksoles.

What DAW are you using? Normally you would make 4 separate tracks and select the XLR input on each individual track.
