I told everyone at 15 and went on to push for gay rights in every arena offered to me. Now I am married LEGALLY and there is a gay character on every TV show and they kiss and have actual bedroom scenes like straight couples. We have come a long way since these awkward hugs.
This was as good as it got. I remember watching an entire hour of Dynasty for a few minutes of Stephen. Not groundbreaking but it was progress. The writers had to fight just for this little bit.

The young Kevin Conroy was Handsome!! They need to remake a night soap like Dynasty and make all kinds of strt, gay, bi trans etc. Storylines, & how they really interact, show real affections and not a hug.... that was the Reagan 80s mentality 😂😂

Coleman was actually ideal for the role. He had a constantly melancholic face expression denoting his bitterness about having to fight for his acceptance in the world.
