Absolutely wonderful hearing these. Such a great collection of compositions for the afternoon show. I’m so sad that Steve is no longer with us but will definitely be listening to my archived recordings of the Big Show for years to come.
Legand, Steve put so much in his shows, never got the credit he deserves, always remember the best, steve wright in the afternoon now playing everywhere, radio 2 will never be the same. I turned off when he played his last record radio gaga, thanks for what you did to radio absolutely a legend steve wright 🤓 📻 👏👏👏👏👏💯😢
This is as sad 😔 as can be ? You I was a chef for many years from a trainee chef to a head chef , as always there is a radio in the kitchen of cause it was Steve right ✅️. Right through my chef Career sadly 😥 many kitchens have almost diminished into a hush 😯 Rip to this wonderful man n Thanyou for your hours of listening to you ! 😊.
Without a doubt, one of the best jingle packages ever put together, the range of styles, from funk to Burt Bacharach to loads of others just fantastic.
Since a kid, I've always been interested / obsessed with station imaging, especially jingles - "the hits between the hits". I used to love Northants 96 & Chiltern 97 - The Hot FM jingles. BBC Radio 2 has had some of the best. Such a pity that so many stations don't bother with decent jingles, they are so important. Thanks for sharing.
Love the jingle package! I wished I was back in radio broadcasting using these jingles!!! 40 years in radio/tv broadcasting before retirement. Kurt Warner Portland, Oregon
Listened to Steve for decades and always loved the upbeat jingles & theme. Do you have the longer version of the music around the 6:00 mark? -He still plays it most weeks usually with him talking over it.
Thanks Man. Yeah I think I know the piece you're talking about, it's actually a really great sax solo from one of the best 🎷 guys here on the east coast in New York. We are actually working a new mix of that and will upload ASAP. :-)
Steve Wright definitely has the best radio jingle package.
Big Thanks!! :-)
Hell yeah
RIP Radio Legend the best jingles for the best broadcaster

These sound proper, the newer Radio 2 ones are bland and tasteless. Farewell Steve
Don’t worry there’s Sunday Love Songs on YT immortalized this wonderful man with a wonderful personality.
