- In todays adventures we try to find the balance between practical vs beautiful. We are faced with the question of ''how far is too far when it comes to price of repair vs price of board.
We also talk briefly about finding some balance on the channel in the future.

Even if we’ve seen it before… It won’t hurt to see it again… It’s why we watch.👍
This is great! So much value in sharing your work and craftsmanship like this. Such an enabler for amateur DIY:ers as myself. Big thanks and keep up the good work!
A quick tip when using 2x foam. Take a craft brush and and dip it in 2x foam. Brush firmy on repair all in the nooks and crannys before you pour your foam. THis will create a better bond. Stay casual. Love the channel.
Does that cut into the 30 seconds kick expanding time ?

Got to be quick. Dab then pour.

Yes it does. Act fast. also remember make the smallest batch you can. It will have smaller bubbles. mix well.
@spindriftconcepts9655 oh dang, I can see how the small batches can possibly Save time waiting to cure/sanding of the the major bubbles making it more ideal for the sarf volume foamage application !
I'm jealous of your spray paint collection
Great work as always. Not shure how you guys do it upside down.
I don’t think there’s a problem with the repetition sometimes your techniques may evolve or you may make comments or give insight that you didn’t on previous videos. It’s all appreciated. Keep up the awesome channel. Thank you.
I’ll bet this unremarkable board has a lot of value to its owner, and you’ve restored it so they can keep enjoying it. Thank you for featuring humble boards like this. I remember my first boards. They were not high quality but I had so much fun with them.
Hey man, your GP-5 mask skit cracked me up! I just wanted to mention that a lot of those old soviet filters have asbestos leaking out, hoping you took care of that. Also thanks for your amazing quality videos, your knowledge is golden. Yeeew 🤙
While I love your vids for the entertainment value ( the walk down the estuary to get mussels probably one of my personal favs ) , I find watching short vids like this of a start to all pretty again simple repair enormously satisfying to watch !
Keep up the good work Bro 🤙
Remarkable video. 🤙🏻
Nice work 😮
Heya bro, just some positive criticism. Love your channel you have taught me everything i know. From the past few months i feel like you don’t say what sand paper grit you’re using, resin ounce just simple things like that. I know you have said in other videos, but repetition is key for new viewers. Just wana say a huge thanks aswel ! Gone from not being able to fix boards to having 4 boards in the garage a week as a side hustle. Legend!
Great vid. Nice discussion and happy to hear your new channel direction.
A video I would love to see is addressing deck delam. I've seen your whole catalog and I don't think you have a video digging into addressing deck delams in detail ** maybe I missed it. I have an older heavy glassed 10' noserider that has some deck delam under the back foot area about 20cmx40cm on both sides of the stringer. The board is water tight and the deck glass is in good shape with no cracks or anything just an air pocket under the glass from the foam getting compression after a decade of use. I'm going to have to address it at some point here and I want it done right and looking good as it's a nice board. Thanks! Love the channel :)
Makes sense. Don't leave new viewers out of the loop. Also, repetition makes returning viewers feel like experts, I guess.
Another class video of sanding the rails and patching ,,,hot coat after ,,if you think about it it applies to the whole board but on a larger scale,,,
stock with the soft ads adapter ,you spot on ,, Rails just form without any lines just shape little effort ,,thanx the Welsh board is flying along now,,
Orbital sander makes it possible now ,,, with the mouse extra for small jobs like the fins,,, P.S thanx for the help and advice my friend ,,especially the sort pad,,, Kez Swansea Wales,
Tools for the job! If the works not too hard then the motivation comes easier 🤙
Great video thanks! I am attempting to repair my mal damaged swallow tail. Do you have a video of that?
Have you ever tried tinting the foam before you pour it?
Surfboard repairers and makers are a very passionate bunch. I don't think those people who make surfboards in Thailand feel any less proud of their work.
The value of most surfboards is connected to nostalgia but I don't have such sentiments. Old sh1t is still sh1t
I enjoy your videos, I hope they are profitable.👍
thanks for your work, I realise the back catalogue might be a bit ‘lo res’ but to save yourself a bunch o time maybe have relevant hyperlinks to older material in description or embedded in video? I owe you a wave!
Bondo Billy cameo 😅
Great video! When you’re sanding and shaping your microballoon resin before glassing, in your video it looks much easier than when I do it, when it gums up my paper really fast. Is that laminating resin with the microballons or have you added wax?
Nice work bro.
After you lammed the bottom side of the board, you have the overhang on the other side. Did you sand that flush and sand the bottom once it hardened so the top lam can adhere?
Not quite a question but I would really appreciate if you could mention wind surfing boards.
I assume the overall construction is the same and nothing differs in terms of repairs. But could it be I'm wrong?
In regards to "educational" questions: say, a board has a puncture, a hole in the middle of a long and complex pattern. Would you try to recreate the pattern or just accept the fact that there will be a "bald" spot?
Also, old guides on epoxy and poly repairs saved me quite a bit of stress. Many thanks for those.
Hi love your work Just a quick question on the mirka sander, what model is it?
Do you get many waveski's into your repair shop? I'm keen to change the tail rocker and fin box placement for a waveski and was wondering what you would consider to be the best way to cut a large chunk of the bottom deck with the fine boxes? Dremel the cut line into through the glass and ue a hot wire bow or is a better way? Maybe think about it and address in a future video?
