Thank you for this wonderful summary of Enkil (though much is not written about him in the books). I absolutely enjoyed this! Could you please do videos on Khayman, Gabrielle, Mael, Vittoria, Pandora and Santino. I know there isn't much about them in the books but there are tidbits of information here and there if you read through the entire book series carefully. I love the other vampires outside of Lestat. I know that Khayman grew up with Enkil (as children) and they were friends which is how Khayman became his steward (righthand man) in the Kemet palace where Enkil and Akasha ruled. So again, there are tidbits of information on the lesser known Ricean vampires if you read carefully through the books. Cheers from Canada! 😘🥰😇👏👏👏 P.S. I love the image you use to represent Enkil and Akasha as I believe they would have been a type of _brown_ person (not black or white but a phenotype that would resemble a bi-racial or brown "middle eastern" type of person. Thank you for the accurate representation!

@@jasonfields7058the good 1(enki) is ironically turned into the serpent in genesis 😂 that's why the gnostics believe in the opposite. That Satan won and he created the material world without the supreme beings help. And the supreme being, being the bad 1 (enlil) who tried to wipe humanity with a flood.
Enki and enlil were brothers sired by the heavenly allfather anu (meaning sky/heavens)
When you look into it deeper enlil told humans to evoke his name whilst praying. Which he changed to amun (Egyptian god of air) which is where the Christian "amen" 🙏 the Islamic "ameen/amin"
When these religions site these names they are praying to the god of sumer who tried to destroy humanity. (The evil 1)
Gnostic teachings flip the entire religious backgrounds when it's used on other religions.
I haven't done it any justice here but there are others who explain it with studied knowledge instead of me and my recollections.

Her novels always had this theme of being lost in faith, which is why I've obsessed over these stories (parallels my life). Though to add a bit: her return to the Church was a decade later when she retired the series due to her beliefs. The last few novels that were written during that time being the Mayfair crossovers. I think the seeds began with Memnoch the Devil (second favorite) but didn't go into full affect until the start of the 2000s. Don't worry: she got better. Lol

So maybe the insanity that comes with vampirism to those turned often could be the price paid for Enkil and Akasha ordering the rape of those twins, a curse due to their humanityless act. Especially since Lestat drank from Akasha and Marcus themselves. (Im late and new to the series but it may be a contributer to Lestats lack of humanity?)

The Ancient Egyptians were northern African. Ethiopians and, possibly Kenyans being their modern day decendents. And the Sudanese being the decendents of ancient Kush, which over took a weakening ancient Egyptian empire I believe in the New Kingdom era, when worship of Amen-Ra had grown to prominece.
Egypt at its weakest was overthrown by the Greeks. When the Grecian empire fell Egypt was conquered by the Phoenicians, hense why today Egyptians are of Arabic and not black African ethnicity.

I haven't heard anyone else mention that. It was such a small part that I think many just didn't notice it. When Lestat and Louie are discussing where to possibly move to during the last episode, Louie mentioned Greece. Lestat mentions hot springs, sun worshippers, and "those who must be kept". When Louie asks him what he said, Lestat plays it off like it was nothing. It was obvious to those who have read the books that Lestat was intentionally keeping this information from Louie. I wonder if Akasha and Enkil will be brought up again in the series. I have my doubts, but I think it depends on how far the series goes.

There is only one point I have always wondered, though it does not affect my love and devotion to the story, and that is, that if Akasha came from URUK, she would not necessarily have black skin. The kingdom of Kemet, was very much divided from that of Nubia, and although they were neighbors, and Kemet was cosmopolitan, I don't know that URUK would have been the same. Again, this does not affect my appraisal of the story, and much less my appreciation of Aliyah's portrayal of Akasha.

The true immortality is explain through the emerald text of Thoth, I think. Anyway I love the Aaliyah portray of Akasha. But I didn't like the movie Lestat in Queen of the Damned maybe if the actor bleach his hair it better proper and been bit more true to the book character. And did flashbacks in the movie of Egypt and Iraq. Tom Cruise was the best Lestat, I didn't care much for Brad Pitt Louis though maybe if Brad Pitt dye his hair jet black and work acting on his southern accent. A lot of people may hate me on that though.Which is weird because I love the new version of the Interview of the Vampire the series with a different time era of the story in the early 1900's and Louis being a pimp and being openly gay which through me off since I never saw him and Lestat but come to think of it it would make sense that the characters are bisexual or gay since there always complementing on how beautiful they are. A face of angel and the body of a god with super speed, telepathy, astro-projection, pyrokensis, telekinesis and super sonic voice, oh, and flying. Any other powers I'm forgetting. And their shiny glossy skin and glassy finger nails and luminous eyes. And growing ever more stronger as they get older. Ann Rice is thee best vampire novel writer, I sorry but Stephene whatever Meyers I think is...well blaah in comparison. Anyway if they keep up with the series I hope they also create the Vampire Lestat. It would be one action pack show, they would have to do a lot of green screen and CGI and especially if they did the show of Queen of the Damned. Funny Lestat mention those who must be kept in the series, I thought I was the only one who picked that up.

And what do we have here? The Channel I never knew I needed in my life until this morning - and made by not only a fellow Irishman, but a fellow Dubliner too if Im not mistaken.
I very much appreciate your effort with this channel brother, I certainly have a lot to catch up on as regards your back catalogue/videography and fortunately I have the time to do so over my next two weeks off so I couldn't have found it at a more convenient time 👍 👊

Let me give you all a true History lesson on the actress who played Akasha. Aaliyah was the reincarnated Eve. She was also the mother of Ra & Cleopatra with the God Mercury in her lifetime after Eve. This lifetime was only her 3rd to exist in humanity. Who am I? 1. The guard sent to keep her & Adam out of the Garden 2. Where is your brother Cain? his blood calls up to me from the ground 3. The Nation of Egypt original name is Hades- named after the person who founded it. The last time I saw her alive as a person in person was #2. I almost saw her in 2001 had she made it to Miami on that plane and my friend who died with her introduced me to her. So, when I saw Queen of the Damn and saw that male statue, I immediately saw myself even though they used her real brother in the mold. Both Adam & Eve have ruled the Nation of Hades. Adam was 1st which is why you all see those Pyramids & Sphynx. It's supposed to be Ramses 1st & 2nd & Hades but who went by Aesop at the time. The only body they do not have in any Museums or private collection is Aesop's/ Hades'. Why? He ascended back up to the sun where he comes from. So, the other vampire who turned into a state in the movie was the reincarnated Minerva/Ruth who bore a child for Poseidon which is in the Bible Old Testament.

you did have people like Elamit around Ur (in essence a mix of "Anatolians" and Dravidians)

the traits you speak about(modern Africans) are relatively new ..Asselar man(oldest man that can be considered fully of your breed) is only 7 000 years old
even south of Sahara ...from south(Hofmeyr Skull) to north (Nazlet Khater) did have traits that you would today associate (and you would be wrong) with modern Europeans

@@sokopicyou seem to be the only person I have heard to say this, and I question your accuracy. It sounds like you're trying to rewrite history to make "whiteness" seem to have a more ancient history, and "blackness" to be a more modern creation. Everything I have ever heard on the subject stated the exact opposite. Even going to "Cheddar Man" found in what is now Britain from less than ten thousand years ago had black skin. Everything that I have heard about human origins suggests that homosapiens originated in Africa. Most of Africa being close to the equator, and dark skin simply being an adaptation to high solar radiation exposure, would suggest that the earliest homosapiens had darker skin.
And I have never heard that the first human to be "fully our breed" came about seven thousand years ago. That sounds like nonsense, and that you're trying to rewrite history.
