Cirque Du Freak is a children's book series by Irish author Darren Shan, I remember reading the books as a kid/teen and loving them a lot. I never really read the manga of it, but I enjoyed the story of the books a lot, it's a very cool take on vampires.

I LOVE Cirque Du Freak!!! I too,, read the books, ALL OF THEM, as a teen and found that someone made a manga of it too!! Like you, I haven't read it, but want to.

Darren Shan cirque to freak is amazing, I read it all when I was in school and loved it!!! Most of the singles are hard to find and I think are out of print so they introduced the omnibus versions.
It’s about a boy called Darren who gets caught up in a circus full of monsters and quote on quote “freaks” with his friend Steve who’s obsessed with monsters. When Darren steals one of the performers spiders ( which he is obsessed with) he’s forever entangled in the mosterous world!!!

I actually read the first like seven volumes of Cirque du Freak back in middle school and I remember it being so darn good! Definitely think you should read it!

Cirque Du Freak manga is actually based on the YA books written by Darren Shan. I'm pretty sure there are 12 books of the series, not sure about the manga, but the books are SO expansive and lovely to read even as an adult though I read those as a kid I ant to come back and read them, maybe own them eventually!! 10/10 good YA read.

Nope and thats the best part go into it blind and enjoy. Obv there will be words and gundams that you would have heard before if you read others. But its a complete story on its own just in the same world as others.
Cirque du Freak's books were really good when I read them in middle school. The manga adaptation is okay but I personally preferred the books.

@@TheMangaSloth First of all, sorry if I make mistakes expressing myself, my English is not perfect (I understand english but I hardly ever speak it 😅).
It's interesting because all of Osamu Tezuka's work is being published and we have all of Kazuo Koike and many other classics from the 70s. Series like Shin chan and Doraemon are very popular and funny in spanish society but in the US they are not so funny among the population because cultural differences. In Spain, the manga became popular in the early 90s thanks to the broadcast of Dragon Ball. In the United States I think that manga and anime became popular thanks to the emission of Pokémon and Sailor Moon.
In my channel I uploaded a video tour of my manga collection 2 years ago. You will see many titles that are published here if you watch video. It is in Spanish but what is important is what you see! I also do manga hauls! 😁

Eyeshield 21, Hikaru no Go, Kaiji and Nichijou are the manga that I would love to read in spanish. Although I think I'll buy the US edition of those manga because they haven't licensed yet... Same with Miss Kobayashi Dragon's Maid.
From time to time I read manga in english, but almost always I read in spanish. In Spain a lot of manga is published. But the amazing thing is the manga market of our french neighbors. The amount of licensed manga in that country is incredible.

Cirque du Freak is an adaptation of the 12 books about Darren Shan. One volume equals one book. It's a horror story with vampires, very enjoyable, however it will probably be very hard to get all the other volumes, as they are severely out of print. If you like the series though, you can always read the books, they're awesome. It's not that dark and is directed towards teenagers, but I enjoyed the story nevertheless. And yes, the story gets better and better the further you get. There is a lot of mystery, but unfortunately some bits have been cut, because of the pacing of the manga. So you will miss some good moments from the books. Hope this helped!

Yo yo, I didn’t mean to discourage you with Again, honestly 1-9 is flawless, the first arc is good, second arc gets even better, but the third arc (not to the same extant) has that after-taste you get from the second half of death note. Anyways go in with an open mind. As for MSG, I look forward to it, getting high praise 🙌. Cool vid

I think I have an answer for that Gundam0079 mystery. Back in the day Viz used to print their manga way larger, but at some point they changed the size for smaller. Idk why. I have some old X/1999 from early 2000's mixed with my smaller X volumes that look just like your Gundams.

yeah it actually is volume 23 for demon slayer lol. i saw the box set for sale in oct or nov for release and it says volumes 1-23

Boxsets are the way to go, I just bought fullmetal alchemist and Akira for a good price. I just hate how to market for jujutsu kaisen has gotten so high I can’t wait for this pandemic to be over so I can I don’t have to buy from resellers.
Yes boxsets are fun! And resellers are crazy! I have not had any issies getting any JJK even 0 but I preorder all my stuff mostly.

Not to the extreme of the gundam books but yes I have a komi vol that is a good 1/4 inch above the rest lol

That does not sound like a bad deal. IMO I would not go with the all in one. I would say singles or black editions.

Yeah I have heard that but IMO and many many others it is. Its a western anime if you want to call it that. Even in japan a lot of people consider it a anime because of the style and design not by region ect. But to each their own!!
