    Both are great bikes. I get more smiles riding a Ripmo.

    That a boy Mo ! Thanks for making this video, your opinion matters because some of us can not demo all the bikes we would like to demo and rely on "TH-cam people " for that LOL

    Wow, I had narrowed my bike choice to between the RipmoAF and StumpJumper Allow Comp. Went with the RipmoAF because I could actually "get one"!

    I have a stumpy evo and I would say yes it has active suspension but it can also be poppy and do jumps etc and does it very well. I think the evo is jus a overall do it all bike cause of so many adjustments you can make.

    • @chocolate05sti
      @chocolate05sti 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Agreed, stumpy definitely more poppy. Even the regular stumpy is super poppy

    Great review how did the sram brakes perform? 🤔 Thinking of buying a stumpjumper pro but not sure about the sram brakes

    I’ve had both. Climbing better on the Ripmo and better DH on the Stumpy.

    Did you get a chance to ride the 2021+ Stumpjumper with the flex stays?

  • @klassyken
    @klassyken 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Will comment before I watch and see if it matches ur video Mo, as I have owned both bikes. Stumpy evo more capable all rounder and strong performance down (bike park etc) and when stuff gets spicy. Ripmo feels like a better peddler and is a tad more maneuverable, and dare I say fun?

    The raw carbon on the Stumpy is my favorite. I wouldve bought the Comp or Expert model but the new paint schemes are really bad. Buying the S-Works frame pretty much specifically because of the raw gloss carbon frame.

    The day I bought my rimpo af frame is the day the stumpjumper evo alloy came out. Did not realize it until I started the build later that day. I was pissed... I still like my AF but still sour about missing out on the stumpy evo alloy. From previous bikes I feel specialized is a much more refined bike. From swat, to cable routing, to water bottle, to fit and finish. I have had issues with threads on my AF frame while trying a cascade link. Never had that with my older stumpjumper. Probably just bad luck and to be fair 95% of what I said is just opnion and 1 case study. The AF is light years better than my 2020 old stumpjumper non evo alloy.

    Hey Mo, Great job. Really appreciate and enjoy videos like this. Can you give any comparison to how the RM Instinct or Altitude climb compared to the Ripmo?

    • @jg8273
      @jg8273 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are all 3 different bikes.

    • @tonybasoni8443
      @tonybasoni8443 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jg8273 ,......Yes, I realize this. But the question is, how do they climb compared to one another. Most of us have to buy a bike not only without every riding it, but without ever even seeing one. So, we need to get some feedback from those who have ridden them.

      @@tonybasoni8443 i owned both a stumpy evo and instinct, and rode them interchangeably for a while. I kept the instinct and sold the stumpy, although i did still love the stumpy evo. The instinct climbs faster and more efficiently, in addition to pedaling more efficiently all around. Additionally, the instinct can be converted to the altitude with merely a shock, fork, and front shock mount, since the shock mount on the carbon frames is modular and the altitude and instinct share the exact same carbon frame.

    • @tonybasoni8443
      @tonybasoni8443 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mac001texas ,....Thank you! I am considering getting the Altitude and if it is too difficult on the climbs, making it an instinct. So, you can only interchange these with the carbon frames? And not the alloys ones? Thanks again for your help.

    • @mac001texas
      @mac001texas 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tonybasoni8443 yes only the carbon are interchangeable because the front shock mount on the alloy frames is welded

    Havent watched the video yet but Im assuming you’re going to say the Ibis is better as everyone says it climbs amazing compared to the Stumpy EVO. I just love the EVO tho and it looks soooo much better. I have the new Stumpjumper EVO frame on order and I cant wait.
