Love that you guys continue to throw new content so quickly for Rise! Can’t wait for more weapon tutorials and breakdowns!
You should make a video on watching for mining and bonepiles upsurge! It allows to get vital ores much more easily (3-4 each compared to 1-2) and you can sell the excess for zenny which is of huge help in early HR most notably.
I'm loving the hammers silk dash move. It gives you hyper armor and if charged at lvl3 it instantly gives you an instant lvl3charge after the dash hit. Great for punishing monsters after they attack.
It's also great for charging your hammer from far away and closing distance real quick while keeping the charge. It gives the hammer huge mobility. You can use it on so many ways like predicting where the monster is going to be, evading or just tanking through anything like a fireball.

Also had this problem, but with the Longsword. But I'm kinda forcing myself to use the chargeblade and it hasn't disappointed so far. Might swap back to Longsword or Switchaxe, but for now it's not allowed.
My only issue with the particular means of "mounting" is how some weapons aren't as good at getting that mount than others. Funny enough, Lance was one of the best weapons in World for mounting (besides Insect Glaive) since you could jump and get the mount fairly easy. But in Rise (unless if the first switch move for lance could remedy this issue), Lance kind of has no options since I don't think Anchor Rage or Twin Vine really do much to build that up in comparison to other silkbind attacks of other weapons. Other than that, once I start farming up all the monsters to make all the weapons, I'm definitely going to do this to help cut down the number of hunts a bit (although rare drops might be questionable).
I love how Paradise portmanteaus wirebug and silkbind into silkbugs whenever he's talking about them haha. Anyway, Wyvern Riding netted me a Rajang pair of pants as early as 5* with little to no trouble. Always go for the shinies!

But, if you just want to wall-slam combo it, make sure you're far away from the other monster cuz It'll automatically target after each wall slam
NOTE: 1:10 I only played HH and just finished 4 start story so idk how it affects it. BUT any monster thats NOT the target monster, I can use the 1 cost Silkbind move and is enough to ride then I usually do jumping attack from dog + that attack and I can easily ride them

Another idea to grab a stinkmink and use it to lure another monster to your target monster, let them fight for a bit, then mount and complete the process. Particularly at low rank it can be a pain to get the initial monster in a mountable state.

@Arekkz Gaming, did you change anything in terms of graphics settings? Mine is like the environment, the monster, and my hunter looks the same, and its hard to look at it while in your video its very clear and the separation of graphics between the environment and hunter is nice.
The lance is my favorite and I am finding it particuarly difficult to get the areial damage on them consistently to wyvern ride, I use the Wire-bug attack more for keeping up with jumping monsters or to knock down the ones that fly often.
That’s brilliant, I never noticed those blue numbers before. I am trying to main the hammers. I need to pay attention to what combos give me the blue numbers. How many times can a monster be mounted?
I did a lot of comparisons of Barroth to see if I could notice a size difference. Why did I choose Barroth? He's a chonky beefy beautiful bastard who I love and hate. What did I notice? Well from still images he felt the same, but then I tried playing a fight in MHW and the same fight in MHR. He felt half the size. Then it hit me like a ton of bricks. In MHR the mobility is SO much more important with the wirebugs. You can jump around monsters in a heartbeat without much effort. In MHW, if I want to get to the other side of a monster, I have to run around it or under it, which makes you feel small and helpless. In Rise, I'm jumping over, through or on like a boss. There isn't the same sense of feeling tiny in Rise as there is in World, and if you don't feel tiny, the monster doesn't feel as big. I don't think the size changed, I think how we move around them has.
Grinding is always easy in MH rise so far, 1 hit from pickaxe gives 5 ores, but wth I love collecting more monster parts to have all armor sets as possible
not really. if another large monster are near your target, ride him will grant a huge damage boost and a final knockdown. that's why during demo the speedrunners was opening the hunt while riding another monster, the damage u can dish during riding is really big.
I gotta know, because I have yet to touch it in rise after the demo, what even is the point of the glaive anymore? Do jumping attacks with it even contribute to mounts? Can it help get mounts more frequently? Or is it honestly just there for the playstyle now with the new system?
I don't think I'm fifty hunts in but Im HR 3 almost 4 and yeah it does become a bit much because you want so much put like if it naturally happens you won't even notice.

Sure beats the clutch claw. One and done for each instead of being obnoxiously required every other attack lol.
Good stuff, guys. Thanks. :)
"shiny drops don't despawn for a very long time" ok, how long though? Longer than 10 minutes? 20 minutes?
Does anyone else feel like the monsters feel a lot smaller in rise than in world?
Funny that I started doing this just before this vid. Still learned a lot anyways.
Dude your palamute looks amazing how did you aquire it or that look?!!!!!!
This is a fun way to get extra materials!
Grinding is always easy in MH rise so far, 1 hit from pickaxe gives 5 ores, but wth I love collecting more monster parts to have all armor sets as possible
I honestly just use a stinkmink to lure the monsters into a fight so that I don’t have to run across the map when I mount them
that's cool and all, but isn't just killing it normally more times faster?
not really. if another large monster are near your target, ride him will grant a huge damage boost and a final knockdown.
that's why during demo the speedrunners was opening the hunt while riding another monster, the damage u can dish during riding is really big.
What armor is your palamute wearing ? It's sick!
I gotta know, because I have yet to touch it in rise after the demo, what even is the point of the glaive anymore? Do jumping attacks with it even contribute to mounts? Can it help get mounts more frequently? Or is it honestly just there for the playstyle now with the new system?
This seems sick
omg paradise surprised me so much hahahah
>:)
You can really maximize yeild by finding lucky life in the field
Wow that's awesome... not gonna lie tho- it sounds like it'd get to be a real pain 50 hunts in.
I don't think I'm fifty hunts in but Im HR 3 almost 4 and yeah it does become a bit much because you want so much put like if it naturally happens you won't even notice.
Rise looks great. BUT! THEY BETTER BRING MY BOY BRACHY BACK OR HELL WILL BE ON THE RISE!!!
I didn’t even know I was doing this, I just evade for repositioning anyways
Hey dude, how did you get that awesome armor? Could you help me get armor like that? Is that like 5 star armor ? I’m still barely working on three star, also how u deal that much damage in one hit? That’s crazy! Could you help me sometime?
