None of this shit is a mystery==========MONEY. It's all simple if you have the Bread and the shop. The guy with the most scheckles builds the neatest cars. I have a hell of a lot more respect for the poor bastard that does it himself!
Firstly they're persistently grouping this car in with the FordThunderbolt,, well,, it's really cool but anything close to Thunderbolt is it being a '64 Fairlane and the fiberglass fenders and glass bubble hood. Many of us are suspect of these guys doing a job like this under such rediculous time constraints. From a quick drive by this one looks really cool, but just how good can it be when slammed thru Barrys shop so quickly. Just like the legendary Chip Foose and a group of others doing these redu and flips under stupid time constraints - SOMETHING WILL BE A SHORTCUT which will be the demise of an unsuspecting buyers dream. Just say'n,,
in the late 70s i looked at a real 427 t bolt for 600$ the heads and intake were gone. probley the original motor you could see the domed pistons. my wife at the time said no way it doesn't even run.
Dip shit over here hammering on a set of adjustables and it’s sliding all over the workbench when there’s a vice right there LOL
Why cant u start early.?
Always a strict deadline ...😏
They could put some bigger beef on the back. The actual drag cars did. Steve
Beautiful but why do they always out automatics in these tribute rides?
Would love a job like this, but Damn i HATE seeing Shifters (Adjustable wrenches) No real car nut would use them so damn often!!!
i always wondered where the uk mark 1ford cortina styling came from lots of similar lines in that fairlane
LOL @ this guy, 38:20
Looks great
"My wife would kill me, but i could live with that..." 38:32 erm...what?!
Its not a thunder bolt , thats for sure
Why didn't Barry White ever do a convertible resto?
The T Bolt was the baddest car to ever hit the streets. Any fool dumb enough to actually believe they had a chance got taught real quick YOU DON,T MESS WITH THE 427 T BOLT.
Linda must be related to Rick from Pawn Stars.
were ya going to get a ohc 427 at barry?
50 made with cammer engine in it!
Thunderbolts never came with over head cam motors .They are in the FE style motors as a 352-390 -406 -410 427 and the 428 plus many more sizes used it trucks
@@harveywesley5978 i rhought thats what made the thubderbolt s pecial aside from aluminum front fenders and radio and heater delete was. The overhead cam 427 and dual quads 4 speed
These guys are cake decorating and installing parts they get so pissy when a 41 year old car has any rust and by the way that not a thunderbolt
THEY MADE A CLONE MAN.
yeah mate, they are a joke
DAVE LYTLE - NOT EVEN CLOSE TO A CLONE!!! This is a hardtop - ALL Thunderbolts were sedans - with the post and tall roof. NO Thunderbolt was the low-roof hardtop. There were 100 originals, some white and some maroon. Hardtops were too heavy. Let's just call it what it is - a modified Fairlane 500 Sports Coupe.
They are making a living doing what they love.So who is the joke?
it should have had the 427 with the 4 speed
as somebody else said Thunderbolts were not hardtops they were 2 door sedans . if the intention was to do a variant , there was no mention of it, they even showed a picture of a hard top and called it a sedan . I often think these sorts of shows are sort of phony
Can they throw any more twigs...branches on the car to make it look even more staged
How lucky were they with no dents in the roof 🤣
william mise .l
I like the ones where the find a tree growing up through the engine compartment!
Can anyone tell me the name of the song @24.34?
mihalecz89 ....trash is what it is...
@@branon6565 Sorry?
He should have gone with fiberglass doors and trunk lid, too.
Not a gell filled battery, its a spiral wrapped absorbed glass mat... Optima...
Yup, got one in my 64 Ranchero, which sits a long time in hot AZ sun, but still starts first time, every time, even after weeks of "no love" for my car!!
The old guy that sold his car to buy it screwed himself.
If you put a Chevy engine in it.. then for sure it will never be a thunderbolt.. don't be cheap spend a couple dollars and put the right motor in their.. you get what you pay for.😮
Don't think they ever made a hardtop Thunderbolt. They were two door post. And no they were not all grandma's car. The little 289 High Performance surprised a lot of people. This guy is a clown. I gota go puke!
Also do3snt know shit about manual transmissions, not everyone wants auto.i prefer a manual trans
this episode is from 2006? God damn, time flies...
fastest car of its era
Didn't the Fairlane become the falcon and only sold in australia
more money than brains, builder...
Yep! He's lame.
Very very good
Where the fuck can I watch this in HD?
Sorry Tony that u lost outon buying the car but for Barry it all about the money no Loyalty did not even care u lost ou !
Oh oh oh o'reillys
He should have sold it to Tony before auction
That's a limb not a tree!
Don't understand why you wouldn't start the new project right after you sold the last to give you time ?
paint should be a cream color not chevy orange
Some were "Wimbledon White", kind of a Bone color! And definitely "Bad to the Bone" in the case of true T-bolts!! ;D
THAT T.BOLT IS THE CAR THAT STEVE MCQUEEN WOULD OF LOVE TO PUT A BID ON.... NOT TO MENTION ME, YES I DO PREFER MANUALS TO AUTO, IT IS WHAT WE DRIVE HIRE IN EUROPE......SHAME ABOUT THE FIBERGLASS PANELS ...LOVE THE BORDER COLLIE 🐦
anyone else notice cheap call on the exhaust? going into the trunk. cheap straight would have done better! restoring an old car, and doing some shit like that. -1
i often wonder if mr white e mailed a pic of that car to the former owner. to show what it looks like now.
