Considering a Solitaire and the Masque once had a dance off, I'd believe it. Imagine Ahriman stumbling across that as he's trying to enter the Black Library.
I don't know why, but the way I envision the last bits of the song, when the lyrics are done, is this The Soltaire dances over to Slaanesh, and begins to be embraced. Only to backflip away into Cegorach's arms, pulling off their Slaanesh mask and laughing with a great smile as their soul goes to Cegorach forever more. One final jest.
You know what would be better he's not even there it's a different Solitaire dressed up as him so the real one can swipe more eldar souls from their realm
You know, I just realized. The gods of 40k have one major weakness. The beliefs of the universe. The more people believe in Cegorach's success, the more it will become reality, and boy do his followers leave a lasting impression that even Slaanesh can't seem to erase.
@cyborgcatrj6794 a battle between gods is more of a battle between beliefs, and Cegorach has a lot more experience. Arguably more so than even Tzeentch, and exceedingly more so than Slaanesh, the youngest of the chaos gods. Trazyn's stasis field seemed to do a pretty good job for one group but to their credit, they're the smallest faction of one of the smallest factions but their impact far outweighs their numbers. It means Slaanesh either has to beat them at their own game or otherwise defeat all the Laughing God's followers in the Materium.

Oh man, Your Cegorach songs are by far the songs I enjoy the most. This is really taking my headcanon for the Eldar and harlequins by storm. This is the contest Slaanesh and Cegorach wage for the soul of each solitaire. The Solitaire ends up the one who chooses.
I love how the gods are getting their musical themes. While Papa Nurgle is calm and gives the "dude on the porch with a guitar" vibes, Cagorach has a performative, fun and upbeat music that would fit a jester's performance. Amazing work!
I love as the song continues Slaanesh just gets more and more desperate. Like at 3:13 she starts getting desperate enough to start unraveling like her focus is shattered so much she starts to not control what voice they use
Solitaires have always been my absolute favourite part of the Harlequins and their lore - the sheer, raw power of a soul that is truly unburdened while also bearing the greatest burden an eldar soul can. The way they inspire equal parts fear and awe in even other Harlequins. My friend, I honestly can say, you do my clowns justice with your music, and it's greatly appreciated.
From the description I read vaguely somewhere, it's essentially that Cegorach sneak attacks Slaanesh at random to claim certain souls back, basically swiping them out from under he/she/it's nose and escaping.
Oh dear solitaire the curtains have fallen, the roses scatter the stage and you my dear friend have played your part to perfection, but is this the end of your journey? Or is there twist waiting to be delivered? What happens next will be a laugh I’m sure!! **honk!**
I like that Slaanesh is actually kinda scary here. We often think of 40k gods as these impossibly vast forces of emotion incapable of focus, especially Slaanesh. But here? I can actually see her seducing someone less wise than Solitaires. The fact Slaanesh and Cegorach would even have a singing duel over someone’s soul implies actual consciousness/personality, and it scares me to think that if you piss Slaanesh off enough, they won’t get distracted by other 3, or Emps, or Necrons. Your soul will always be their priority. Fitting for a god of excess and obsessions. Can’t wait to see what sort of personality the songs will give to chaos gods as we go forward
It really is. Part of the song is them taking jabs at one another like a couple of exes, and the other part sounds like they're speaking directly to the solitare, trying to convince them they're the better parent.
I find it interesting because Cegorach just says "Come along or not I don't care." while slaanesh says "Come along now." And I think its obvious to see which choice the solitaire favours and allows Cegorach an easier time to reel them in while Its harder for slaanesh because they are actively resisting her
I wouldn't say resist more like knowing what they would be doing they know there's a non-zero chance they just get ate but the temptation is always some part there

I love it. I admit, I always imagined it as Slaanesh has a better claim on the soul since the Soltaires are willing using some of their power (headcanon, not actually confirmed but there's a reason other Eldar respect them while keeping their distance), because no Solitaire really wants their soul consumed though, Cegorach just needs to provide a brief distraction while the soul is in transit but not yet in Slaanesh's realm. Solitaires aren't commonplace by any means but after this long, I like to think to think Cegorach has tried all sorts of tricks from nudging Khorne to launch an incursion into Slaanesh's realm, giving Fabius Bile a very interesting win to incentivize Slaanesh to try recruiting him again and just making the Masque trip embarrassingly. Considering the story about the dance battle between a Solitaire and the Masque of Slaanesh (true story, apparently it went on for 6 days and nights or twice as long as an uninterrupted duel between primarchs) I absolutely believe there was at least one sing-off where Slaanesh finished their 6 day solo only to find the Harlequin and Cegorach had already left.
The way I see this entire song being played is in this bar that has 1920s vibe to it, on stage you have a band demons playing, Nurgle is drunk off his pox at one table, in the corner you have khorne cleaning his weapons, Tzeencht is at a card table being its dealer, and finally there’s Slanesh walking around the bar singing/interacting with eachother. The barkeeper is Cegorach, in a discolored suit wearing a mask. Constantly Slaanesh tries to cross the bartop but he’s always out of reach. The entire song is between them discussing the end. Each drink Cegorach makes is a reference to a different joke, person, plan and soul, occasionally Slaanesh will dry to drink one but like Pythagorean cup and Tantulas, it just dripples out of her reach

Solitaire could have an added last line that leaves it ambiguous. Solitaire: "Now dont you fight, lay this feuding to rest, we've still got time for one last excessive jest."
do you get the feeling of slanesh being mildly frustrated at cheogorath fo forcing her to play buy the "rules" of a preormance? she tries sevral times to distrupt it but as long as the soul in question plays along....
After listening to this I want to hear all the chaos gods fighting over a single person only for the ending to be revealed that he’s belakor (can’t spell his name for my life)
I'm interested to know what music samples the AI used to make the song. I'm having trouble putting my exact finger on this genre of music. Would it be big bang swing blues?
The prompt I used was "big band swing, 50s, musical, psychedelic rock, broadway, techno, ethereal ambient, electro, duet, pop, rap" and using tags in the lyrics to control who speaks which verse
Could someone explain to me what this is all about? Like I understand it has something to do with the harlequins and slaanesh but who is this solitaire I keep seeing in the comments and is the other guy singing with slaanesh the elder laughing god or One of his servants/friends?
Solitaires are these one clown wrecking crews in 40k who make a deal for their soul with Slaanesh for insane power. When they die though, the Laughing God will trick Slaanesh and save the solitaires soul. It’s never explained exactly how so my interpretation is the trick is wordplay, the Solitaires actually pledge their soul to both gods and must choose who to go with in the end.
I have constructive criticism: All the songs about the Laughing God and Solitaires are great. The ones about Slaanesh kinda' suck though...making half of this suck (and the other half quite nice). I think Slaanesh needs to sound much more like Billy Eilish singing "Bad Guy" and less like a typical pop star. Too much telling that she wants to seduce people, etc...not enough through more subtle means like tone. With Nurgle songs, and Ork songs, and Laughing God songs, they all work great because the tone matches their personalities perfectly. The Slaanesh tone has never worked though. I'd say, Slaanesh is also a being that would probably use a lot of metaphors and trickery. She's not going to tell you she's going to try to seduce you into her clutches. She's going to glorify things you already like and encourage you to forget about everything else - duties/morality/restraint/etc. So, I figure if you were writing a story in the same way these songs work, the problem would be too much telling and not enough showing with Slaanesh. But...the parts about the Laughing God pointing out that Slaanesh is trying to be deceitful, and the Laughing God's sort of, Broadway-show-esque tone, that works just fine. The issue is that I definitely don't think that Slaanesh should also sound like she's singing on Broadway. She's more of a Billie Eilish kind of person I'm thinking, or maybe having a tone like in the song "Unholy."
@@gstellar96 What's wrong with Billie Eilish's tone for Slaanesh? That seems perfect to be, to the extent that I can't think of any better tone. Another good example would be her song "all the good girls go to hell" Aside from her and whoever wrote "unholy," the only artist I can think of who might be a good model for Slaanesh would be, maybe, the older singer Ann Wilson from the band "Heart." It's got to be one of the darker-sounding female rock or soft-rock singers (or whatever genre Billie Eilish is in is called), which I don't know many of. The band Heart did songs like "Magic Man" and "Crazy on You."
A band reached out about doing a cover of this song, hopefully I can find others and get more work and eyes for musicians 👀 really elevate those channel
this is an amazing song i love slaanesh v cegorach for harlequins' souls but as an slaaneshi follower i want slaanesh to win. any song with slaanesh i will hooked. all hail she who thirst Sai'lanthresh
Laughing god is the reason why I even know anything about Warhammer lore. Too bad there is so little about him, so I don't feel like getting deeper into this universe. Also, I feel like AI voice and music is always kinda bland. Don't know how to describe it - kinda like they averaged everything so much, there are no elements that stand out possitively? I feel it in this song a lot, since Slaanesh has many lines where it feels like she should be emotional, desperate and sound strongly. She also always make little break after Cegorach, even though it feels like she should be trying to get into his lines
after listening to this I can absolutely see Cegorach and Slaanesh getting into a song battle every time a solitaire dies
Same. It's a beautifully horrifying duet.

It isn't called "Theater of War" for nothing.
when can i buy this song on itunes or any platform
I second this when and where can I buy this song
@EndlessTaverns that's pretty cool not going to lie
lore wise, what does Slaanesh do once she gets a solitaire's soul?
I think she just eats it lmao
@@EndlessTaverns I got to say I really like your songs with Slaanesh
@@EndlessTaverns Can you imagine how terrifying it would be if Slaanesh turned a Solitaire into a Daemon Prince?
Sequel!!!
Hard disgaree on the Billie Eilish
Are both the music and art AI?
Yep, Midjourney and Runway for the visuals, Suno for the music
This would be even better with real people singing it, methinks. Its got nice potential but it feels really held back by the AI.
A band reached out about doing a cover of this song, hopefully I can find others and get more work and eyes for musicians 👀 really elevate those channel
Also day 2 of asking for a chaos sister song specifically Miriael Sabathiel
"Them"? Big E? I could see that as a trap
It's a pronouns joke.Them means both the Cegorach and Slaanesh.
This is 20% better if on 1.25 speed
also i recommend listening to
it at 1.25 speed. is still a bop :)
So what if you chose with such care? And you the mistress tempting fair,
If i chose another ask, to which it goes, I've not asked.
this is an amazing song i love slaanesh v cegorach for harlequins' souls but as an slaaneshi follower i want slaanesh to win. any song with slaanesh i will hooked. all hail she who thirst Sai'lanthresh
