Open burning in residential area is an extremely selfish act. You burn and pray for your Own family's good health at the expense of your neighbours families health. Babies and children are living in their small pigeon hdb hole smelling your smoke. This smoke is toxic, fyi. It burnt for hours(sometimes start as early as 4am and end 2am) and days. I beg and implore you, please think of everyone, especially your neighbours.
I can totally agree! That’s why at the end of the video, I urged everyone to burn their effigies in designated bins, (put out by the gov) and to clear all litter. As much as it’s tradition and culture, we still need to respect others too.

@@jeremytanmagic there are so many ways the temple could assist. ie.
1) Reduce the total paper burnt, ie. increase paper price by increasing the currency, instead of 1000,000 per piece, increase to 1 billion/trillion.
2) Offer burning service in temple. I believe this service is a good business because working people are busy to burn these paper themselves. They rather transmit(TT/Paypal) the $ to the temple and the temple will burn these notes for them.
3) There are electric smokeless burner in the market. Smokes is unburnt paper particles, these burner increases burning efficiency up to 95%.
This way you all could continue with your tradition and religion peacefully without provoking others.
Seriously, nobody wanna provoke your religion and culture, its just we had suffered enough from these smokes. enough is really enough.
