Hi buddy, very interesting video. I have the Wolfman with the Darwin handle and a dual comb razor head with a 1.35 gap, both in mirror polish. I also owned the Yaqi Sentinel with 1.5 gap and Chippendale handle and sold it again very quickly. The Wolfman is just as thorough as the Yaqi but much gentler on my skin. In terms of workmanship and balance in the hand, the Wolfman was also clearly ahead. Anyone who can afford the Wolfman buys a safety razor to pass on to future generations. Love the yodel😉🤣. Great video and while I have a Rocnel Sailor and a Rex Konsul, (which are adjustable) and they weren’t cheap, but again well made adjustable razors. The Wolfman will never be on my list to own. They are IMO overly priced. Just can’t see that for a 3 piece razor.. I prefer my Timeless or Rockwell and or Yaqi💪🏼
Thanks, buddy! For a lot of people the $85 for the Sentinel is a too high price. I get your point, but to each his own. One could easily make the same statement about the Rocnel razor, imho. Basic satin polished head on a €950-€1900 razor? I'd never even consider the €1900 Rocnel adjustable with an ordinary basic satin polish. I did look at the Elite one ( again basic satin polished). And almost ordered one; but the Rocnel maker wouldn't tell me the gap or the exposure neither the head/handle weight nor the length of the handle; only that is 'not aggressive' and the full weight of 99g-100g. To me that's information I need to make an educated and fully informed choice. I know numbers are never telling the full story and can be deceiving, but keeping them a secret is even hiding the fact that the gap is not even from razor to razor or just plane arrogant... There might of course be a different reason, but I'll choose something else. I'm not trying to pick a fight or to bash anyone or anything. I'm just expressing how I feel. YMMV. Love and shaving! To your point, I wouldn’t have paid asking retail price for it either. That’s the great thing on all of these Stainless razors.. find someone who “wore off the new” and buy the high priced razors (that are practically new) at reduced pricing💪🏼

Nice comparison! You had a Home Alone moment when you put on the after shave! Two nice aggressive razors with subtle differences, though the Wolfman has a lot more craftsmanship put in it. Yaqi has really stepped up its game with their very well-done polish and finishing work on their current razors and is better than a number of high-end razor makers. I think they are both great razors, but unfortunately this model/style is not one that I'd probably get from either. The soap sounds really nice and I do have have the splash on my Amazon list to get at some point. Have a great one Sig!

Countdown Binge #5... An "around the world shave"..There's a peculiar sort of irony in that(depending) and I am very glad to see it. Coincidentally, I have two different Lime Soaps. One is a hard puck and the other a cream. A patchouli balm sounds absolutely fantastic!
Great to see a video like this one. People don’t want to admit it but the Yaqi is equally as good as a wolfman and on the same level but at a 20th of the cost of a wolfman. I feelin like owning a wolfman is like having a dick measuring contest against your buddies. There’s no point when there are other razors just as good at a way way way cheaper price tag.

You forgot to mention import TAX and VAT plus Royal mails standard charge £8 When importing to the UK, when buying the Wolfman, this adds £70 on top minimum! Yaqi = free of these extra costs as it’s so much cheaper. Your looking at 6-7 times the cost buying the wolfman compared to the Yaqi importing to the UK. Other countries may have different taxes etc. I ordered the guerrilla with the .84 and love it but had to spend £47 extra in duties. I’ve just ordered the Yaqi and will cancel my wolfman order.
Auch! That got to hurt! I'd wasn't aware that the vat/tax would slap you that hard. We cannot blame the maker for the crazy extras the Government adds, but it is still a major factor to consider. We don't have vat/tax on razors here only coffee/tea, ammo, perfume and tobacco. Both are fantastic razors that could be passed down, imho. I hope enjoy your new razor as much as I do! Yep taxes in Europe playing big role. Im from Serbia and here we pay x1.3 of the actual price for everything that worths more than 50 euros. It was a big ouch when i purchased my Blackland Blackbird.
