Man, how can anyone NOT absolutely love Susan Sarandon? Jessica Lange, too. These women (as are the rest of the cast of 'FEUD') are wonderfully talented and amazing people.
I agree and there have been a few things that might explain Joan's behavior and the honesty of Bette wanting to win to get back into the game. Susan is fantastic as well as Jessica Lange.
sry but Susan and all those cig scenes made me want to start smoking lawd i mean when she flicked that ash out before going back to get her purse?! twas AMAZING
You are literally notice the facelift on Susan Sarandon's face. Well doesn't matter. To each their own. She looks amazing. Jessica Lange ageing gracefully..❤️
If I'm being honest, I don't feel Susan has really captured Bette for me. I think my issue is the voice. I get she didn't want to mimic Bette exactly but by not speaking like her it falls flat. I see Susan as Bette, not Bette. I think Jessica's Joan is more believable, but the makeup isn't quite right
I'm pretty certain if Bette was alive today, she would object to the idea that she was dealing with pain, or that it was the root of any feud with Crawford. I think it's belittling to make everything that she was so simplistic. I think Bette would be furious with this show, however well made it is, and it is a good show. Bette was not as two dimensional and predictable as this show has made her. And other than also having pretty big eyes, Sarandon looks nothing like Davis, I have no idea why people keep saying she does? I also refuse to believe Sarandon has had no work done, however discreet.
I want to say first that I LOVED Feud and watched it multiple times. And that Bette Davis had an incredible presence, and to be fair, you can't expect Sarandon or anyone else to capture that. She played the part as well as it could possibly be played. But I agree that Bette probably would have been furious. Olivia de Havilland certainly was - that's why she sued. There was an idea running through the show that Bette and Joan should have been BFFs, and that the reason they weren't was because they were too damaged. Joan I can see - her early life was the stuff of nightmares. But Bette? Who damaged Bette, the patriarchy? Warner? Hardly. Bette gave as good as she got. She was tough, defiant, and brilliant. And she could never have been friends with Crawford, ESPECIALLY after that stunt at the Oscars. She'd have to be pathologically masochistic and codependent to befriend someone who went so far out of their way to treat her so badly. And that, for me, is the single major flaw in Feud. Not Sarandon's - or any of the other players' acting.
It's not yours or anybody's business if she's had work done. Even if she has, it has nothing to do with her ability to portray any character, which she does brilliantly
They both stink in their roles. Joan was always attractive and beautifully dressed and had composure when she spoke. Jessica Lange looks very weird to put it mildly, not hing like Joan, and Joan's body was tight. Susan doesn't get the voice, the walk, looks too young, and doesn't have the gravitas. She doesn't hold her cigarette properly. She doesn't move her eyes like Bette. The story is boring and they both fall short.
@@MothGirl007 A lot of the Bernie crowd chose to either not vote, or voted for Trump out of spite after Hillary ended up being the candidate. I'm not saying Susan did this - I don't follow her that closely and I really have no idea how or if she voted. But it WAS a contributing factor to the mess we're in now.
" 'Cause I don't smoke...cigarettes." WINK WINK Susan. hahahaha
Henry DuRocher That was so funny. #cheekygirl ;)

Susan is knocking it out of the park with her performance of Bette Davis!
LOL
these actresses are amazing , this show is absolutley my dream show , loving it x
Gosh... she's amazing as bette davis!
She is great as Bette. I'm glad they didn't go for the caricatures. Remember 'Mommie Dearest' that shit ruined Faye

FEUD is awesome. Susan and Jessica are not Bette and Joan but between them and production, they've done a phenomenal job.
Susan always had those eyes... was only a matter of time for her to play this role.
sry but Susan and all those cig scenes made me want to start smoking lawd i mean when she flicked that ash out before going back to get her purse?! twas AMAZING
Susan as Bette and Jessica as Joan was the absolutely best choice.
Award winning performances. Both of them
"I forgot my purse.. 🚬😤" loved that lol
Bette was so special!
I watched the entire series today (10/11/20) and she’s right - early along the way I started thinking of them both. as Bette Davis and Joan Crawford.

interesting considering in Thelma & Louise I believe she had a stick in her mouth a few times. Course not as much.
Does anyone know if Jessica smokes is real life?
I cannot imagine any other actress playing Bette Davis than Susan Sarandon..
she is 74 really?

I don't think either one has captured the role but I still love watching it.
Graphic Jack Jessica's Joan was brilliant.
Do not agree , she is fantastic as Bette

How, exactly, do you know how Bette Davis would react today?
I don’t like tobacco. If I’m a actor I don’t think I wanna use it as part of the act.
Anyone who has seen the real Bette Davis would know that Susan Sarandon is terrible She doesn't even attempt to sound like her

Well Sarandon got her precious Trump in the White House She worked hard for him
David Howard she never voted for Trump..
Susan Sarandon is an avowed liberal so I don't think you got it right.
She was a huge Bernie Sanders supporter and is totally anti Trump.

Get your facts straight, pal
