Love and miss New Mexico, the colors of the soil varied red, tans a bold, lending a vbeautiful backdrop to th native sages, piñon, mesquite and pines. Lovely art inspired by the natural beauty . Thank you for reminding me of the beauty
This is a beautiful canyon and a great place for small-town living. It's been a while since I have at there at the Los Ojos restaurant. The food looked great! I used to get down and walk all the local attractions. The only place I have not visited is the ruins you visited. I'll have to check it out. The Valle Caldera is a beautiful preserve to visit. Great trip! Take care.
Excellent video I was born in New Mexico and after roughly 20 years or so I've started going back and now I'm considering moving there. To me it seems to be a land that challenges your mind and rewards an individual exponentially when we've proven we've stayed true to ourselves.
Love hidden gems. I have never heard of this mountain range and Jemez Springs. This place looks very peaceful. Thanks for sharing we will put this area on our radar. Thanks again!!! Rodney
I'm always impressed every new video you post, you show us so many hidden gems, beautiful outdoor activities and places we don't hear so much but they're wow! Valles Caldera is now on my to-do and all the food looked super good + friendly people. I think once I finish the 197 countries, I'll set myself the target to visit every state in the US, you guys have an incredible variety of sceneries over there! Keep it up, loving your travel vlogs and reels! 🧭
Thanks so much! I wish I could see more of the world, I will eventually make it overseas...but until then, I will continue to explore so many wonderful areas to see locally!
Ummm.... that view out the back. 😮 Okay and that Jamez Historic Site...! I was thinking it reminded me of Besh-Ba-Gowah in a way (in terms of size) but then it just got bigger and bigger. Fantastic site! I believe Besh-Ba-Gowah does a luminaries event as well. Looks like you had a great time though! Hit up pretty much all amazing sites - from craters, to ruins of old historic sites, to old bath houses... Might have to mark some on our list as well. Feel like we're missing out. 😅
I never heard Jemez springs pronounced the way you say it (Hamez) I thought it was JEMEZ the j like an h accent on the latter part of the word. Need to ask a Spanish person but don’t think your saying it correctly. I did enjoy the video despite very beautiful
I wouldn’t be surprised if I’m saying it wrong. I’m from Albuquerque and thats how most folks pronounce it around here- but that doesn’t make it right! 😂 thanks for watching!!
What an amazing place to stay in! Could happily spend every night having dinner on those decks, with those mountains in the backdrop!
Heck ya! Its so hard to capture the beauty in the camera as well- so grand!

The cabin area at Valles Caldera is where the main cabin was filmed for Longmire.

There is so much to see in this mountain range, one of my favorites! I highly recommend!!! :-)
What a pretty area. Obviously, a person can stay pretty well occupied in that area.
So much to do! Thanks so much for your comment!! 😀👍
Please include information on handicap travel, when you can . Thank you. Fishing is fun in the area also.
yes, I will keep that in mind! I appreciate the feedback!
I like to go into Jemez in threw los alamos
yes that is a beautiful drive that way too!
How much a,day?
Now it’s running over $300/ night but does vary based on demand
Lovely, but not wheelchair accessible so we will continue to stay inLos Alamos and drive to Jemez Springs.
I thought the same thing she said showing that view: "I could go nowhere and have a fabulous time".
It was so incredible!!
