Bought one lately. My 2nd 12 ft. canoe. I weighted it, 43 lbs. Light to portage and I'm 71.
I made a removable portage yoke from a 2 x 1 spruce molding and wrapped it with a 12" neoprene pad ¼" thick in the center.
Easy to paddle and quite stable. I always paddle bottom against the seat edge and legs under the seat, more or less as japanese way of sitting.

It weighs 43 pounds? This video says 37 pounds. Another one of their videos says it's 39 pounds. The Old Town Discovery 119 is only 6 pounds heavier than the weight you got and is $400 cheaper

Since a couple of weeks I'm searching for a video of someone testing a double blade paddle on this pack canoe. Any chance you could do that?

How much rocker does it have, bow & stern? Does not show on the website plus they list the width at 39.5 inches. A little more(accurate) information would help but looks like a great boat and exactly what I'm looking for.....Looks like at least 1.5 inches of rocker but can't really tell. Paddled with a gentleman last weekend who had a 17 year old Old Town Pack canoe in royalex and he made it through the class II's with ease. Said he shopped the used market for that particular boat for three years. I really do like this modern version of the "pack boat" though!

I see you filmed this in my town, Bangor ME. Does Esquif have some kind of presence here? I would love to be able to check out some of your canoes, but didn't know if there was a place in Bangor I could check them out.

Esquif doesn't even have this boat on their site...unless I am missing it.

Your right, hasn't hit the Esquif website yet. There are a total of three new models that will be out soon.

    What’s the weight capacity?

I find it hard for anyone to believe you have any credibility regarding the Esquif Adirondack canoe. To begin with you have stated numerous weight specs in a few videos. 37 lbs, 39 lbs and now its 42 lbs.
In this video you state you had it in class 3 water. Anyone who knows anything knows this canoe is a class 2 at best.
Finally in all your videos you never, ever appear in the Adirondack. There it is on a stand. There it is alongside a trout pond. There it is along tidal water.

      Good points LOL

@@jimsatterfield8748 If you go down a few comments someone asks the weight capacity. He responds 550-600 lbs.
I had e-mailed Esquif asking the same question. It took forever .. months .. to get a response and it was 400 lbs.
It might be a legal thing as to rate it low or it could be 400 lbs where you could still handle the canoe ??
All I know is Esquif and Mr Hadden don't shine in a very good light with all the misinformation.
