I come from a family of contractors...$13k for that door, in Cali, with the cost of supplies, labor, inflation and to expedite install it seems about right these days, especially if it's a custom size, plus if it's automatic & tinted...Cali prices, inflation and rush install sounds terrible yet that sounds about right when you factor it all together I don't think you got screwed...Congrats on the opening, hopefully insurance will cover it, if not put Steiny out on the street corner in a speedo, people will pay for him to put some clothes on, you'll raise money quick lol 😂
And that's your gym so regardless of whether it was taken out of context or not, if you ask people to leave your gym they should RESPECT you especially since you were trying to do a great thing by trying to let everyone get a chance to meet the influencers they look up to

I have never seen so many famous influencers mixed with regular people, all together for one purpose...it truly was special to watch. We are all people trying to make it in the world, and you brought us all together. We should all as a community do things like this more often. As normal hard working people a lot of times we feel like influences and celebrities are so out of reach, but your event showed us they aren't, and they are normal people just like anyone else. Positive problems bro! Most people will never be in the situation to have so many people at a grand opening that their asking everyone they didn’t invite to leave so people waiting outside can get in. I’m praying to have this problem when I open my gym. Glad to be able to learn a couple lessons from yours tho lol 😉💪🏾😎

Brad, once this gets poppin, and it will as your channels grow, make a super gym. Multi level, all in one, fitness for everyone, including MMA , a female only section, maybe a pool for seniors, cross fit, etc. then have Dana , Nelk, Steve, and yourself , plus all the influencers you know constantly work out there .. I would invest in that for sure

Everyone with strong opinions on the opening were NOT there. I was there and it was one of the most lit events I’ve been too. Vibes were immaculate
I was there and wasn't let it in because I wasn't a influencer.

2nd Grand Opening Plan
- check the weather
- hire some security guards to keep the line in check (especially when so many other influencers are coming)
- have a separate VIP Line for the influencers/invited people
- invest in a mega phone
- 40 to 50 people get to go in for 30 or 45 mins (depending on how many people/fans show up)
- then have all the influencers/invited people stand to one side of the gym and have 2 security guards escort the group of people/fans out so the next group can come in
- then so on and so on
Bonus: rent 2 porta potty’s w/ hand wash station for the day and have them set near the front doors so security can keep watch and the crazy fans don’t vandalize them
- have some people ready to hand out some snacks and/or drinks to people in line in case the line is even longer this time around
Essentially, I would look at treating this 2nd grand opening as a mini LA Fit Expo

If you do a second grand opening you might want to make a line flow from the entrance out that back and keep people moving. Like 10 mins per person

What you do is have all the "Influencers" come to the gym on a friday. Then you can have all of them for a private workout, hangout, photo, video shoot, private gym thing. Then, the following day Saturday is when you have all of the regular people come out for the "Hard Opening." The Influencers will be in town already, and the gym will actually be finished and open for everyone to enjoy.....and hopefully it's not raining outside lol.

I used to be a project estimator for a commercial glass and glazing company. $13k sounds about right for a single double-door + glazing, including labor. Labor costs and mark-up usually make up easily 50%+ of small projects like that

I use to replace/install doors for businesses like kmart/walmart/target. Idk dimensions but i can ballpark, full demo and install with supplies and labor would be a little sub $10k in today's market.

Set appointments for people to come in at a certain time, limit them, that way you can control traffic and don’t have people waiting at your gym for hours.
