I’ve used Segway for nearly 20 years; first the standing ones, then the seated ones after MS finally prevented me from standing. They are amazing, but can definitely be dangerous. I wouldn’t advise them for anyone who can’t take a fall. They should also not be run through water especially salt water that is over a few inches. The very expensive batteries and the computer in the base can get ruined.

Many people have commented on my “4 wheeler” - no, in spite of the rugged tires they only have two wheels. In a situation of ice, snow, or mud they can spin if you’re not careful and if they spin they will probably flip you. I depend on them and love them but there is a learning curve.

Hi I´m looking to buy several segways for a tour operator located in Quito Ecuador, this is a city full of hills, so as for elder people I find s segway would be the solution since Quito Oldtown is actually a pedestrian only zone, is the any reccomendation on which segway would be suitable for uphills (45° )down hills on pavement and coblestone roads?

Aoouch ,don´t EVER drive in water (if you own your segway....) former owner of one of my segways did ,had to replace one battery for about 1200 dollar. And there is two of them underneath! So he was "lucky" enough that he didn´t ruin both of them.....
