Im a conscious drill artist from the UK, I dont make any money out of music..its all going to community programs and charities that keep kids out of the prison industrial complex.
We're currently in the process of writing a book detailing exactly how the prison industrial complex works here, whos involved, who profits, how rehabilitation is a lost employee and recidivism is a returning one..this will be distributed for free in all prisons around the UK.
I say all that to say.. theres more resistance to this than artists promoting negativity and genicode and its exactly what Math was saying..the revenue generated from crime makes it an unsaid societal necessity and a whipping stick for impoverished and marginalised communities to keep them in place so they can never be empowered enough to change their own conditions.
We're going to do what we can, but its not going to be easy.
