once I tried to make a spreadsheet to document all sorts of things that might be hormonal related (like: is that one week of the month where I keep churning out spotify playlists around the same time of every month?) but that did not last for me. and felt kinda weird (data-ify everything!). But! I think it is so important and exciting and helpful to be aware of how our hormones can affect us so much, and how different that is going to look like for everyone on a monthly hormonal cycle. I said this in another comment, but it was really helpful for understanding my own mental health to learn about pre-menstrual depressive disorder (PMDD). At the same time, there was an adjustment period where I had to remind myself that not *every* time I felt off in some way could be traced back to hormones. There are so many factors that influence how we feel! Identifying them can be so helpful, but sometimes just focusing on the factors that make you feel better is the best way to spend your energy. Like taking an L and going to bed, looking forward to a fresh start come the next sunrise! Lots of thought fodder in this vid
We all have our flaws and everyone has their own flaws for their self.We need to stop comparing our selfs with other people Cuz if we do there'll be something to compare all the time.We all beautiful and that's what make us. Love uu

I hate the way hormones impact my emotions, it almost makes me feel like I'm not my own person, if that makes sense? This completely uncontrolable thing has so much influence over me and the way I act, but it actually has nothing to do with who I am/want to be (well I guess it inevitably does, but I don't want it to, men don't have to deal with this). And I know there isn't really any use thinking about this and it gets better after a while and obviously period are normal and natural, but I guess I'm just venting a bit. Love the video though :)
I really feel this. Especially the first few years after starting my period, I felt like it was ruining my life. Or that I could get 'on track' for a couple weeks then my hormones would make me slip and it felt so uncontrollable, painful to the point of passing out or puking, and my moods were the most unstable. I recently found Organic Olivia's podcast with Alisa Vitti and they talked about how afab bodies have two rhythms: circadian and infradian (monthly menstrual cycle), while amab just have circadian. People w periods are forced to live in a society that caters to the male body: in scientific research esp health, wellness, medicine etc; in work and the 24 hour clock, our hyper-productive mindset; thru our pervasive (mis)education. Like, what we're told about our bodies is incorrect and outdated. We should not be in this much pain, we shouldn't have to feel at the whim of our hormones and suffer every month. When we listen to our bodies and our natural rhythm (infradian), tailor our foods and workouts to certain kinds at certain times, factor in REST, we feel more like we should. We feel good. Because our hormones affect every part of our selves! Mood, immune system, energy, creativity. If you can, please listen to the pod (open.spotify.com/episode/0zGsSa5MhsNK8v2esSaYdq?si=FabyP-FQSVCQJvGpO0He2w) or read Vitti's book, In the Flo. They go more in depth if you're interested. I spent so many years feeling just like your comment and you do not have to. It is a natural and normal thing and there's so much power and potential in it too. I hope you feel more like you soon :) xo reading this back sounds kinda sponsory but I promise it's not lmao, this is just truly lifechanging info
Waking up at 7am in my book is still early. I don't understand why people think 5 or 6am is like the "golden hour" of being productive. 7 and even 8am seems Ok to me as well. We need to start a trend where waking up at 7am means being productive too. Also, I think someone posted in a video that there are several types of people where their productivity levels are different during the day or night. So waking up earlier, might not make you necessarily more productive in my view.
All my life my lessons started at 8 am so waking up at 6:30 is so normal for me... Now that I'm in quarantine and don't have to get ready for uni/school/work whatever, I feel kind of surreal? Idk haha I hate quarantine
Yes love this thought! I don't think I'll ever be a super early riser - just kind of want to do it for a challenge/also to discuss some of these thoughts in a video! I've been reading a book on figuring out the way your body feels at certain times depending totally on who you are as a person and just finding the right hours to rest/work/play etc. for you specific body but I totally agree!
I use the flow app too and it's true. Serotonin plummets right before your period. I personally only really feel awesome one week of the month 😔 also: I can't believe you qualify for a vaccine already. I'm from Canada and it's chaos up here right now.
Why you can’t get out of bed might also be because you’re an HSP. I’ve heard that HSPs need more time in bed in the morning to find and establish their centre for the day. It’s definitely sure for me, i need my time in the morning to completely listen to myself and the silence before i love on. I need it to even function. I wake up early, but usually stay in bed for an hour or two after- i listen to calming/different vibration music, meditate, scan my body, breathe, maybe listen to a podcast.
