Hi !! Thanks for being on this little mental and now physical reset on this weeks vids - popping the Ritual code of WIL10 to get 10% off your first 3 months here: ritual.com/WIL10
honestly, a vid that's like "physically active days" or "how i incorporate MOTION into my life" or something along those lines would make SUCH great and inspiring content. i love how down-to-earth your approach is to figuring out all this well-being stuff, thanks for documenting your journey :)
On checking in with yourself: my high school health class teacher said that most sudden physical discomfort/nausea can be cured by either a glass of water or a moment of deep breathing. It's been almost 15 years since I took that class and thinking of that advice has helped me thousands of times.
i also recently started working out for myself, and i honestly have never felt better! every workout/diet i've ever done when i was younger never lasted because i focused on unrealistic results in a short amount of time. now that i'm older, i've learned to listen to what my body needs - it's such a good feeling! thank you as always for your insight 🌷and yes, i'd love to watch a workout plan video from you!!
Love the vid (as always)! PSA about the protein - because it's a stereotype with veganism - virtually no one in the Western world is protein deficient, unless they have some sort of disorder. To be protein deficient (without a disorder), you essentially have to be malnourished. Protein powder can be great if you're doing a lot of hypertrophy exercise and want to gain muscle, it can also be a good staple for if you're not good at eating (quick protein shake), but too much protein can be dangerous.
*"mental & physical are symbiotic"* ooooh I like that. I've found daily, gentle movement (even if it's just going outside to retrieve the mail) has been really beneficial for my mental health over the last year. I'm loving more challenging walks and biking when I have the energy, but like you mentioned, checking in with myself and slowing down when my body and mind require rest is important too. Loved this vid!
I really like how well-rounded this video is and appreciate your thoughtfulness around subjects like exercise and food which so many of us have difficult histories/ relationships with. I definitely want to focus on building (and maintaining) better routines for myself this summer- take care of my body and move more so I can feel confident to do more. Would love to see another video on realistic moving/ exercise routines/ your thoughts on them :)
Jia Tolentino has a chapter about that in her book of essays Trick Mirror. About escaping/embracing the male gaze through exercise (also body modification and dysmorphia!)
Hi!! Your videos actually inspire me to take care of myself in a better way than I used to do so thank you! I recently accepted the fact that I could work out for myself, and eat for myself in a healthy way instead of having a goal and doing things I thought would be more acceptable, especially with summer just around the corner. It's a slow process, but it's one I started thanks to your videos (among other things of course).
love love loved this love your tips your honesty your editing the shots the recipe everything you look and feel so much more allround-happy-healthy and i'm happy for you!!!!!! cheers to joy and health!!!
Would definitely love a whole video on body image and the benefits if exercise for mental and spiritual health rather than to physically change yourself!!! Your views seem really interesting :)
Ok but CAN I ask you about you candida??? I’ve been having chronic yeast infections for months and it’s so annoying. Has candidastat been helpful for you?
thanks for all the great tips on looking after our bodies! so easy to forget that the physical effects the mental and we can make ourselves feel better in such simple ways :)
Omg about working out is really truth for me. As I started to work everyday, I was like really tired to workout. But now, I'm trying to play tennis or swim and I literally have more energy
Hey Jenny, hope you are well. I just wanna make constants efforts to hear myself and my body like you, such videos by you really inspires me to be kinder to myself. Thank you🤍
Jenny! I loved this video!! Thank you for sharing what has been working for you :) I stopped calling my movement exercise last year and it has really changed the way I think about taking care of my body. Like you said in your video in my mind exercise felt like punishing my body to reach a certain ideal, where as movement is much more gentle and can encompass a stroll or some light stretching and feels good mentally and physically to do. Sending you lots of good vibes
Reparenting yourself is sacred work. Thanks for the inspiration and sharing your journey! So happy you're doing it young. xo, your 50+ gal from Chicago
Where did u get those hair clips for your bangs? I recently got bangs similar to yours and have naturally wavy/curly hair and they're strugggggling to look semi-decent when i air dry. loved the vid!
Hey I just tried the code for the protein powder and noticed it's only 10% off for the first 3 months and not 30% off for the first month like you stated
hi jenny i love your videos! would you be open to sharing what lens you used for this video? or what filter/overlay in editing? your videos always have such a soft and dreamy ambience and i think this is the reason i love watching them!!! xoxox
frozen blueberries w/ rice milk is my fave ✨ thanks for the tips about probiotics! i didn't know they affected more than just gut health, i'll have to do some research 🤗
Hi Jenny! Would you please detail the drink you made at 12:50? English is not my first language and I couldn't understand quite specifically what is in that drink xx
Hi! I’m not Jenny, but I thought I’d respond to your question anyway! The drink she made is using something called “apple cider vinegar” which is vinegar made from fermented apple juice. It sounds like she mixes the vinegar with lemon juice and carbonated (bubbly) water! Hope that helps :)
Also, when you made the chickpea salad... I looked down at the chickpea salad I'm eating as I watch this. It's a good day when I'm twinning with Jenny!
i was getting reoccurring yeast infections for 1 year straight. i tried e v e r y t h i n g. the thing that finally STOPPED them was taking pure tea tree oil bc tea tree oil is anti-fungal. i would put 4-5 drops of the oil in an empty veggie capsule and take that 2-3 times a day. it literally stopped them for me. i was using the doterra brand. im sure there are more brands u can use too. but that one really worked. just wanted to share what worked for me. every body is different so some might react differently?? but yes.. have a good day:) thanks for this video!
Dear Jenny, I have a suggestion to add to your fruits dessert or frozen blueberry + almond milk : Top it with fresh gratted curcuma, it add a dream flavour ! Let me know if you try ! :-)
IMO our mental health really is not separate from our physical health. I always think of them like they are but i mean, really, they're not. My brain is a part of my physical body. The state of my brain(my mental health) affects my body just like the state of my bodies affects my mental health- and thats because its all the same. The brain and the rest of the body need exercise, self care, and love. Idk just a thought
hey jenny! i’ve noticed you don’t use the little “includes sponsored content” (or whatever it says) banner in your sponsored vids, i guess i’m just wondering why you choose not to do that or announce aloud in the beginning?? thanks :)
Speaking of ritual vitamins, i used to do the prenatal vitamins because i thought they were really good for you but I recently found out that they contain a high amount of lead. I really want to try their protein but now I feel like I can’t trust this brand. Ugh, at this point, is anything good for us anymore?! It’s so frustrating.

Yessssss I love this idea! I’ve gotten so much out of rollerblading for anyone looking for some ideas.

couldn’t agree more
I like how you covered various aspects of wellness, they are all interlinked
How have you found riding your bike around NYC? From confidence around cars, storing it, etc.

agreed! vegans really need to make sure they get enough iron and zinc for sure!

That box of produce! Do you get that shipped to your apartment or was it just a grocery run? Grocery shopping in nyc confuses me lol
Would definitely love a whole video on body image and the benefits if exercise for mental and spiritual health rather than to physically change yourself!!! Your views seem really interesting :)
You should add steel cut oats to your smoothie to give it more texture :)
Needed this video, sweet gal. Thank you for your thoughtful and compassionate content as always 🤍✨

Hey I just tried the code for the protein powder and noticed it's only 10% off for the first 3 months and not 30% off for the first month like you stated
Where did she say that? It does say “use code WIL10 to get 10% off your first 3 months!” At 4:40. Just curious since I also want to use the code.
Please make some workout routine content! Would love to see it and I love your stuff
hi jenny i love your videos! would you be open to sharing what lens you used for this video? or what filter/overlay in editing? your videos always have such a soft and dreamy ambience and i think this is the reason i love watching them!!! xoxox
