Being in Rogers Arena at the viewing party for this game was truly incredible. So special to be in the arena with like 20 thousand other fans all losing our minds as the Canucks win their first series in years. So special, so hyped for round 2. Canucks remain the clear underdogs so every win we get is a win against all the odds. It’ll make each victory that much sweeter.

Oilers fan here. I think most pundits are making a mistake by favoring the Oilers so heavily. This series is a coin toss, and it's going to be a hell of a ride. As for your comments on Hughes, I think it's pretty obvious to anyone who cheers for any team that he's the best D-man in the series, and one of the best in the league. You could argue he's even better than Makar in terms of all around play. Enjoy the series, and let's try to be civil to our fellow hockey fans. There will be plenty of time to rub salt in the wounds once the dust has settled.

Canucks fan here... I think most people are looking at both teams' experience in making those expectations. When the oilers made the conference finals, then made it to the second round... we were in crisis (no one wanted our captain traded; people were struggling with Miller's attitude; upset that Boudreau was let go; debating trading Boeser; Tocchet threw a temper tantrum over how lazy we were; Garland asked for a trade; we even had an analyst file a human rights complaint over how our AGM treated her!! It was bad). Most fans were begging for a rebuild, the fact that we have a competitive team is such a surprise to everyone. Aaaaand you guys have the best player on the planet.

Canucks all they way, every day, but the Oilers are a darn fun team to watch, especially with my crazy Oilers-fan friends. To have that all in one package in round two is a gift.
