Hey Jasmine I know you have a household expense envelope for things to buy for the household but do you have a grocery fund? It would be great to see you put one in that way when you move into your first house and or apartment either way you can go out and stocked your house with all your condiments all your groceries all of your shelf stable items and maybe if you have a little bit of a money left over you can do our backstock and make sure that you’re stocked up for maybe three or even in six months of shelf stable type items just a thought
Yes! A pantry/fridge stock fund for your first place is definitely essential. As is things like cleaning supplies, vacuum, mop, etc. That stuff adds up SO fast 😵💫

By the end of the year, at the pace you’re going it really seems like you’ll be in down payment territory for a house. Long term it would also be a great investment, because you could also sell it or rent it out (meaning, it doesn’t have to be your dream forever home right now, and you can use the equity from what you build for another future home or homes). Especially because from what you’ve said it doesn’t seem like houses would be astronomical in price in your area, you could probably build something really great, too! Regardless of what you choose to do, I’m sure it will be amazing and perfect for you!

And you’re right couches are Hella expensive lol my couch it cost me $4200 but what I love about it is it’s leather and each side of the couch is a recliner and it reclines all the way back so while we’re watching the TV which is mounted in my living room it almost feels like a theater type experience and we can recline and watch the TV at the same time I also got a matching recliner to go with my couch which also obviously reclines and is super Duper comfortable as well we absolutely love it and I don’t even regret purchasing something a little bit more expensive for the convenience of the recliners on each side of the couch that pops up and reclines so far back

My mind is blown that anyone would pay 4k a month. My 3 bed house on 2.5 acres is 320.00 a month. All of my bills is around 1800.00 a month. I would be in a constant state of anxiety if my house payment was that much. I love your methods!!!! I am going to do the 100 envelope challenge. I always keep my budget for house payment, house insurance, car insurance, water, and lights to where if I was only making minimum wage (7.25) I wouldn't lose my house and it would leave me 380.00 a month for groceries and pet food. Maybe a full day getting gas and going to lunch or something fun as well.

The biggest problem I see is that many businesses are either wanting exact change or do not use cash at all. I have SInking Funds in a few Capital One accounts. I miss cash as it was used before
