I can hear the compassion in your voice. I’m 54 years old, married for 37 years and we have nothing. No savings, live in a small travel trailer and have a used old mountaineer. But now, we are cash stuffing and saving. Now don’t get me wrong we are very happy and love a very simple life. My husband works 40 plus hours a week. I’m disabled but can’t been able to get disability. I’ve been thinking of sharing our journey with others to inspire them to get on this savings/budget journey and live a more simple life. 🧡🧡

You are so right about being consistent! I didn’t budget my paycheck last week because I was so busy and I really felt almost unhinged the way I was spending my money lol I didn’t think I would stick with this so long but I’ve been here since February and my bf and I saved enough to not only pay off our phones but also buy my little brother a new one as a graduation gift. It’s crazy what you can accomplish financially when you put your mind to it and stick with it

You actually inspired me to do this with my next apartment! My goal is to have at least 2/3 months saved ahead for an apartment. I also want to have money set aside for when I move out of my current apartment for repairs (I can thank my cats for that haha). I’ve been watching your videos starting from the beginning recently. Not only have you changed your life, but you have changed the lives of others! I know because you changed mine! I've posted before that I had heard of the envelope system from Dave Ramsey long before I found you, but it wasn't until I started watching your videos that it clicked in my brain. When I saw you do it week after week, I knew I could do it too. It completely changed my spending habits. I LOVE how you said months later you may not have money to put in that bag! I live by the saying "I can carry a $40 bag and have money in it or I can walk around with an expensive purse and have $40 in it." BUT I would love to purchase myself an LV when I become out of debt. Just because I'll be able to. Someone told me " when you get to that point, you may realize, it ain't even that important enough to spend that kind of money".

Hey. I’m so blessed that I have come across your page. I’m facing eviction and will have to start over at 55. I have no sense of savings. Watching your channel I’m excited to save and build myself. Me and my husband just went shopping for furniture and it’s more expensive now. Our bed cost 1,200. That was without the frame. You should save at least 3k in your future envelope just to be safe. Love your videos btw. 😃
